Once summer is over
And all turns red
You know that fall has gotten out of bed
When the air is colder
And it smells like burning leaves
Fall has come through like sand through a sieve
The wind is howling
Harvest moons come up
With bright orange and maybe red mixed together in this bright cup
All plants are like fire
Covered in leaves orange, yellow, red
They move with the wind which lead
Everyone's inside sitting next to the fire
Drinking hot cocao, wrapped up in blankets
Reading a book or stroking their pets
Soon the fire of autumn will be gone
And the ice of winter will tip toe closer
Trying to put out this fire and poser
Fall does fade
But so does winter
Into spring
