I think the true spirit of the holidays has been lost to the zurg, in fact to most people as well.
Forgive me for sounding corny, but let me explain the true meaning of gaian christmas.
However, since this is a secular journal, I'll just call it Gaiamas. This includes non secular holidays as well.
The first Gaiamas occured long ago, when the Gaian Santa Claus came of age. Every world has a Santa you see, some just haven't found theirs yet.
Gaia's santa was a special being, from a land in Gaia emanating with Cheer. Cheer is the feeling all holidays are meant to bring, that warm fuzzy feeling that longs for peace and unity, regardless of denomination. Santa was a person filled with cheer, along with Jack. Jack had a different kind of cheer, but it was cheer nonetheless.
Now, the whole point of all of this stuff is to spread cheer. Giving makes people happy, singing songs makes people happy. Hearing music and getting gifts make people happy. But it's better to be the giver/singer. You get more cheer that way.
Well, our recent events show that everyone, even santa, is losing touch with cheer.
In fact, only one Zurg has cheer, and that's sweet little innocent Narf.
After his brother 9 was changed, he had only one Gaiatmas wish, for his old brother back. Not just for him, but for Gaia.
So lets try and recapture the cheer so we can fix this mess. Go out caroling with your friends (don't just click stuff, say the lyrics at least) give them gifts, and try to spread cheer. Cheer is what makes people want to sing on Gaiamas, even after some disaster occurred. Like in that book. So this Gaiamas, lets all sing! In towns, on forums ((In real life)). Try to spread cheer, because what the world needs now, is love, sweet... I mean cheer.
