My Little Angel ~By Me

My Little Angel is now in heaven,
She spread her wings and flew away.
We all knew this day would come,
So all I did was hope and pray.

A bright little girl, full of life,
Four little paws, eyes a glow.
Her tail would wag, estatically,
When she was happy, you'd know.

But she got sick, terribly ill,
She no longer bounced around.
Her tail drooped, her eyes dark,
She walked close to the ground.

She's now free, to do as she likes,
My little angel, with eyes so bright.
I'll miss her, that I know for sure,
I'll pray to the Lord, every night.

"Watch over my little Angel, Lord,
She'll be so great to you.
She'll fill your heart with love and hope,
She's a great dog, loving and true."

I'll miss my little Angel, so full of life,
but I know she's not in pain anymore.
She'll always be in my heart, I know,
Because that's what puppies are for.
