Christmas Wish

A snowflake has just fallen
As Christmas time draws near
It's time for me to make a wish
For all that I hold dear
My thoughts meander in my mind
As the sleigh bells start to ring
Many things I want to wish for
Which will bring us everything

I wish for peace for all this world
Where guns are lain to rest
And Nations standing side by side
Fom North, South, East, and West
I wish that all who walk this earth
Live as one family
And strive each day to live our lives
In eternal harmony

I wish that famine is no more
And each mouth can be fed
Where little children hunger not
From starving in their bed
I wish our water is as pure
As a snowflake in the sky
And banish all disease away
So we will never die

I wish that love will know no bound
Wherever we may be
And we can learn it's true intent
From now, till eternity
I wish that we can teach the young
That love will conquer all
And value all it's blessings
However big, however small

I wish that time will heal our wounds
When life's been fraught with pain
And we can strive to carry on
With peace of mind again
I wish that faith and true belief
Will never cease to be
So dreams will live forever more
And come true, for you and me
