Storyline as of 12/21/06 "I don't even want to know what you have in mind, but I think I'd prefer to take care of hiding the color of my eyes by myself....."
She hurried behind him hoping that they would be at the hotel soon. Not for herself, but for his sake. She finally caught up to him and walked beside him She had learned lon ago that she had the ability to mask her appearances to those around her. Therefore she could make others see a different color, all save other vampires that was. She would need some time to do so for she had never done it before, but once at the hotel Champagne was sure she could start the magick.
That would be after Roy had eatten and gotten into bed of course and she would put her plan into action by bringing him a drink of wine before bed. The darkness would hide her blood and he would never know the difference.
"If that's what you want, then go ahead," he said as he casually put his hands into his pockets and looked around, his cold gaze returning while he took on the sights.
"Place hasn't changed... Calun, the home to the richiest of the rich and poorest of the poor. Crimes occur all the time because of the financial difference," he mumbled before catching sight of several Hunters. "And uptight.. I wonder what's going on to make the Hunters form groups at a time like tonight.."
He turned and headed towards the hotel, only to stop at one of the doorsmen, who was waving at him.
"Sena galimp no aitaku?" the man said rather friendly.
Roy quirked a grin before nodding, understanding the language before placing a few coins in the man's hand.
"La heu pracoto nurgih za pelao," he said, earning a laugh, only to nod and head inside.
"May I help you sir," an attendant asked while smiling, at the same time, blushing rather idiotically at him.
"I believe you have a room reserved for Awayu," he said, keeping his eyes fixed on her as she had quickly looked into a rather largely thick book.
"Ah yes, Roy Awayu?" she said and looked up at him.
"That's right," he replied while nodding.
"R-room uh..112," she said and handed him a key, her face pink.
"Thank you," he said as he took the key, only to wink at her before heading towards the room. Champagne watched silently as Roy spoke to the doorman and even smirked when she saw how flustered the woman at the front desk got, but she actually got jealous when Roy winked at her. Her eyes turning almost black she took her time walking past the woman, glaring at her.
She smirked again as she followed Roy to their room. For once she didn't know what to think and remained silent- just completely silent. Roy unlocked the door and stepping in before stretching, noticing the luggage was delivered and looked to her while raking a hand through his hair.
"So tell me, what idea did you have to disguise yourself for the time being from the Hunters?" he asked.
He made a face of discomfort before loosening his tie, his eyes trained on her to both observe and pay attention to detail on what she would do. Champagne stepped into the room behind him and went to sit on the bed removing her shoes before looking up at him.
"My powers allow me to mask my true appearance to others. Other vampires would see me, but outsiders would not...like the Hunters....I can change my skin, eye, hair....everything...or atleast they would see me differently then what you would....."
She sighed and closed her eyes, "Only thing is I've never done it before so I don't know exactly how quickly I can do it...it may take me all night just to get everything worked out just right....I'll need to feed before I do so because I don't know how much energy it will take....."
She scooted up onto the bed and tucked her legs under her as she watched him.
"So what would you prefer...a red head or a brunett??" Roy rubbed his chin before looking at the ground.
"I don't think a full body change is necessary..just maybe one or two things, your eyes and skin color. So my question is, have you tried on just changing one thing?" he asked before looking at her. "But even with a change, we'll have to be careful."
With that, he went over to one suitcase and opened it before pulling out a cold bottle of the blood that she had kept.
"It's best if you were fed now since that unexpected exposure to light." "I've done my eyes before....but nothing else....and its been a while...."
Champagne looked to him and got up off the bed to walk over to him.
"Thank you so kindly for getting this for me....Such a gentleman.....I'll be alright here if you wanted to have some dinner or I'll be done in just a moment so we can dine together....or look like we are downstairs....."
He handed the bottle to her while smoothing her hair, leaning in a little to kiss her forehead.
"It'll be fine. There are things I must attend to, however," he said, his expression grim as he looked away from her. "It's very debatable on if you should come or stay..," he said before wincing, his hand instinctively clutching his chest while he started coughing rather violently, his lean frame slightly shaking from force of it as he clumsily moved away from her. Champagne smiled lovingly up at him and she did understand that it was a risk to leave her here in the room as well at taking her with him, but she just nodded.
She watched him go into a coughing fit and looked on with worry in her eyes. She hadn't seen him so bad before and he pushed himself away from her. She wanted to go to him, the embrace him, but she had a feeling that that would only hurt his pride.
For once she didn't know what to do.... It had been a while before the coughs had ceased and the pain easing a little as he had reached to grab a handkerchief to cover his mouth with it, his hand that had held it, splotched slightly in blood, but this wasn't your usual ruby red color before it turned to a mauve, it was a maroon and black colored blood. Taking a few deep breaths, he had moved to look at her.
"... Don't look at me like that. You remind me too much of Mitsu when you do that," he said before clearing his throat. "I know that the room would provide very little entertainment, so I do have something I think would be best put to use while providing you some cover from the Hunters."
He undid one suitcase to pull up an old navy blue trench coat and looked at her.
"The lounge, just downstairs would provide enough safety if not entertainment. Gather information as much as you can about what is going on. I want to know why Hunters would be gathering. Here in this devil filled lot of a town..even a Hunter should know that too many spoils the plans," he explained before handing her a small purse with coins. "Yours to spend on whichever you like, but try not to draw too much of a crowd." "I'm just worried Roy....I'm supposed to be watching after you...Mitsu would never forgive me if something happened to you...you know that...."
She stood some distance from him trying to give him the space he wanted and she merely watched him. She nodded at his suggestion to go to the Lounge and be a bit of a snoop for him. Champagne still held the bottle of blood in her hand and took the purse of coins with the other. She uncorked the bottle and the soft scent of the rich blood wafted into the air and she tipped the bottle to her lips to take a swig as she placed the purse on the bed.
She would change her appearance before she went down there and made sure she had drank her fill before she tried anything. Champagne finally began to wonder why she was so drawn to Roy and she had heard something long ago that certain vampires were attracted to certain humans because of their scent and she thought that it might be that way in this case.
She inhaled deeply and indeed there was a masculine and heady scent that came from Roy and it drove her wild. She knew he was not in danger when it came to her, but she began to hope that others might not be attracted to him as she was.
She placed the bottle back with the others and winked at Roy before disappearing into the bathroom to begin her transformation. Her hair would not change for she liked her raven wing color, but her eyes would need to change though and she thought of the perfect color- blue would seem to unnatural and instead decided that a green would be most suited and she gathered her magick within her and was able to watch in the mirror as the crimson was washed away and the emerald green took its place. She smiled happily and then looked at her pale, creamy skin and sighed. She wasn't as pale as some of her kind but she thought that she should have at least a bit of rosiness to her complexion and concentrated again to watch the transformation.
When she was happy with the results she conjured up a long white gown with a black corselet around her waist. It was an off the shoulder number and she looked human, but not in a harlot sort of way. She decided that her boots would be black thigh highs with spike heels and the collar remained around her neck the two collars standing out among the white and black of her outfit.
Champagne emerged from the bathroom and smiled as she twirled for Roy.
"I hope this is much better....Will I draw a lot of attention???" Roy walked around her, his hand rubbing his chin in thought while the other folded under his arm and over his stomach while watching her.
"Hm...something is amiss with that," he said before going behind her and undoing the two collars that were around her neck. "As for watching me.. you're doing fine, by keeping me out of trouble."
He kissed the top of her head before leaving from behind her.
"Come to think of it..I had noticed something. Were you jealous of that woman," he asked. It was strange not to have the collars around her neck. Her hand went to her neck and she purred softly as he stepped away from her. She didn't seem too surprised by the question, but she would answer him honestly, "Yes I was jealous because I didn't like the way you looked at her and flirted with her....What does she have that I don't?" "Are you sure you're not asking it the other way around? Surely that would be what would go through her mind," he said, slightly smirking before putting on his coat, a pair of angel white wings spread acrossed the back with what looked like a crucifix in the center, entangled in a red rose. After finished with that, he stepped close to her and tilted her chin up to him with a finger.
"As for what you don't have but what she has.. Absolutely nothing," he said gently. "I suppose you're right, but I guess that was my territorial sense speaking up....I haven't seen you look at me that way...that glitter in you eyes and you don't flirt either......"
She pouted as she looked at him, her now green eyes saddened as she started towards the door.
"Well, let me get down there so I can get some information on the Hunters...."
She looked at him once more before turning around fully and reached for the door and opened it stepping out into the hallway. Roy took off after her before grabbing her arm and pulled her inside quickly before turning her around, his other arm wrapping around her waist, holding her tight against him before kissing her deeply. To say she was stunned was an understatement for Champagne. She had always been the one to kiss him and even now she couldn't believe that he was holding her. She could believe that she could feel the warmth of his lips on hers and she could hardly breath.
Her eyes fluttered shut instinctively and her amrs wrapped around his neck and she tried to be closer to him, their bodies pressed intimately together. This was heaven to be held like this. It seemed that her comment had gotten to him and she hadn't meant to make him feel guilty she just wanted him to know how she really felt....
A purr escaped from the back of her throat as she deepened the kiss moreHe rested a hand on her cheek before pulling away slightly to grin a little.
"Don't be jealous, because only one heart is already taken," he said before lightly tapping her nose, but still held her tightly. "It's just what I do." "You do it much too well then..."
With that she squirmed away from him, "Now if you don't mind...you gave me a job to do and I intend to do it....and while I'm doing that you should be getting dinner...."
She quickly grabbed the purse and exited the room before he knew that she had even moved and laughed as she made her way downstairs. "I do it all too well, hmm?.. Intriguing," he said to himself after she had left before sighing.
There was something he had to hold back from her. Something that could very well destroy her, but at the same time..it was for their own good.
Even though that one thing was to be hidden away from her, there was more to him than what met the eye. Was that what attracted her to him? The fact that she knew so little of him? Why would a vampire..Champagne...be in love with him?
This was mildly bending his brain, but it wasn't long to think on it before he shook his head and went downstairs.
Food sounds like a good idea..before I see him and attend to a matter, he thought while seeing her disappear from sight as he had gone down the stairs. Down in the Lounge Champage managed to get a seat at the bar right between two very well know hunters. She watched them both carefully and when one turned to look at her she smiled flirtatiously and moved closer to him, her breasts pressing against his arm.
"So sorry if I'm starin' sir...it's just that my eyes have never looked upon such a magnificent man as yourself....you take my breath away...so strong and so devilish....What brings you here?"
The Hunter looked down at her and smiled knowingly as she outright threw herself at him."Truth be told it's to keep pretty things like you safe...."
"Keep me safe? Something must be happening that I don't know about...I just came here today myself and if I knew I was in danger....Oh dear...." She gave herself a sweet Southern drawl and batted her eyelashes as she spoke to him.
He was gruff with his next response, not seeing through her disguise to see what she really was, "Not to alarm you, but there are rumors that a few clans of vampires are stalking around and we're here to stop them. These aren't your normal blood drinkers either......"
Champagne moved away slightly, but still stayed close enough for her cleavage and ample breasts to be in the man's immediate view hoping to tempt more information from him. A pair of ice blue eyes, hidden well under a large hat brim, watched Champagne have her fun with the others as the food was left untouched. The smell of slightly cooked raw meat was a bait, but at the same time, it was to find out where they lurked.
Roy smirked at seeing her do the work before leaving, only to be stopped by one man.
"Mr. Danes, Sir," the man saluted while Roy nodded. "I have a message from Units 1A and 9U. They're prepared and awaiting instructions."
"Have them remain on standby and rondevous on Section 4G. They'll know where it is," he commanded before the man saluted and ran off.
He watched him go before wincing at the pain the scar on his back was giving him. It was responding to his decision and since that day...revenge was all he had in mind for letting his body be tormented and damaged.
That is why people feared him. He was no longer the sweet child that people had known him to be..
But that of a killer and a cold one to those that oppose him.
"Now then..to see that doctor..we'll need a stronger dose," he muttered before walking away. Champagne felt Roy's eyes upon her and shrank away from the man that could possibly kill her and she smiled sweetly and continued her act, "Well, I think I may just have to retire to my room....Don't want to take any chances...."
With that she moved away and she winked and blew him a kiss before making her way through the lounge. Using her mind to hear what the other Hunters were thinking- those that didn't guard their mind so well....These were not normal vampires that were creating chaos...no they were a breed that was created from the union of a demon, an upper level on at that, and an elder vampiress which meant an army of very blood thirsty creatures that weren't about to leave their rampages behind.
She walked slowly and carefully and sank into the shadows and became more than a blur as she moved back to their room grabbing a bottle from her stock and she was back in the lobby and out the front door. She retreated into some nearby woods and uncorked the bottle and spilled the contents over the ground, the smell of the blood filling her senses as she knew it would any other vampire within a mile of the area.
She thought of Roy and wished that he were with her, but she wanted to know who they were dealing with as she was unaware that he had more pressing matters to deal with at the moment. Roy buttoned up his shirt before looking at the doctor.
"What did you think?" he asked, his look the same as ever as the doctor adjusted his glasses.
"It seems it's had it's reaction, but it hasn't healed since you were a child? How unusual. But you're right on needing it," he said, his expression cheerful. The man was a perfect experiment. A child, marked by a demon in exchange of protecting his family, only to have the mark grow up with him, becoming a part of him.
But at the same time, it was changing him. Bodily, he wasn't sure, everything else, it was starting to make him feel different.
The doctor wrote out a perscription of his medicine, a much stronger dosage count than last time and handed it to Roy.
"There's a medicine shop outside of Parato City. The lady will make sure you recieve it promptly once you present this to her," the doctor said before Roy placed a few dollars onto the table. "But I would best be careful on your medicine intake. Even though your heart is about to give way one of these days, the medicine is to be taken once a day, not everytime you have it strain."
"I'll keep that in mind," he said and left, grabbing his coat on the way out.
Roy's mind wandered about Champagne, he was worried if she was alright and hopefully had not gotten caught. Some Hunters are not that stupid to figure her out.
Growling to himself, he headed back to the hotel to make sure. Champagne could hear the flutter of wings and the padding of feet as she stood there in the dense woods. She was now surrounded by the blood and she kept watch in every direction- waiting to see how many vampires would hear her call to them. Part of her was afraid, but she remained calm as they inched closer and closer to her. 10 myabe 20 were upon her now and she smiled as her own fangs lengthened to their full size, she snarled as one by own groups of these new vampires broke from the shadows of the trees and circled around her.
Her eyes gleamed in the pale light and they were a hideous red as the others realized that she had summoned them.
Who was this vampiress that had the audacity to put herself in danger before so many of her kind. Though it was not known for them to rutn on one another it was possible....highly possible. They watched her warely unable to tell if she wes a hatchling like them or one of age.
Champagne stood there and finally spoke, "I don't know what you believe you're doing, but be warned the Hunters have come in armies and they plan to erase those of us that come in their path...."
A few were brazen enough to step closer to her with their fangs bared and looked upon her as though she was their next meal and she bared her fangs and roared at them. The sound cared through the forest and she continued to gaze upon them.
"The sun is about to rise....go to ground....It is not safe the Hunters can find you....they will find you...you are not invincible....you are not safe...."
Why she even helped these beasts she did not know, they were called vampires, but they were no kindred of hers. She lifted her head and a scent came to her on the wind- it was not human nor vampire and it intrigued her. She left the circle and watched the others stare at her in disbelief as she ran from the spot tracking the scent and she stalked in the shadows of the night and found herself following something that was heading back the way she came, but finally she saw a figure and realized that it was Roy.
She didn't dare let him know that she was out on her own and raced past him in the shadows to return to the Lounge where she sauntered up the one Hunter's side and whispered in his ear that a flock of the new breed were in the forest. Before he could comment she was gone and back up in the hotel room.
Champagne undresses hastily and looked down and cursed as she noticed the hem of her dress was nearly drenched in blood and there were spatters all over the skirt. She knew that Roy would be very suspicious and she tucked it away before dressing for bed, not in theat boring little gown that he provided, but something more appealing. A long black negligee that was made of chiffon that was see through and all she wore underneath was a black thong. She did love the new delicate things that women could wear now a days....
She smiled one last time as her mind merged with Roy's as he made his way towards the hotel. She posed herself upon the bed, her body bared for his own pleasure. She couldn't wait to see the look on his face! Roy immediately headed towards the room before opening the door, heading into the room, shutting the door behind him before his eyes slightly widened at how she looked before resting them and made his way towards her.
"Well now, aren't we looking to gain some intimacy?" he asked before looking at her, a light smirk appearing.
Before he had came back to her, the hunt was already beginning. He had issued orders to singly eliminate vampires that were associated with murders, especially involving children, but also, vampires who were murderors altogether.
"Did you look at the report, Sir Awayu?" an older man told him as Roy looked at him, his face stern and cold.
"Yes, these were not oridinary crimes either, were they?" he asked.
"No, the puncture marks were clearly vampiric. Hunters have ignored them as usual," he said.
"Hmph. As usual," Roy repeated while looking at the man. "Have the squads do a full city search, furthermore towards about a 10 mile radius around. Not a single one escapes."
"Yes, Sir Awayu. No wonder why vampires called you Bloodbath."
"I hate them. Pure and simple," Roy said. "I do have a few exceptions, but they aren't vampires. They're human."
With that, he looked to the man. "Danes. If there is a woman, by the name Champagne, leave her alone. Make sure the men know this. She's mine and no one else touches her or takes her out, understand," he asked.
"Of course," Danes said before walking away, only to stop and look at Roy. "Will you not be joining us?"
"..." Roy rested his eyes before looking at him. "I will another time. For now, I need to check to make sure she stayed."
