My mom has been pestering me alot to volenteere at the local fire department. my dad used to work there and there was a lot of messed up stuff, but may be they have straightened themselves out now. I doubt it. But my mom has been really persistant and i keep saying no even though the three people i hang out with the most are all firefighters. I thought about it more lately and decided that i will go and try it out. The worst that could happen is they say no. and if i do get in, it will look good to the coast guard. I dont know who is there right now but the biggest problem is i dont know how to sign up and i dont want to tell gene or casey or pappy because i want to surprise them or i might decide never to tell them unless they find out on their own. It would be a good way to get NHS points too, because it is volonteere work. for all i know i might decide to become a perminant firefighter. Dusty was one in the coast guard, so i might do that. I should call him and ask how to sign up. or if i can volonteere at the coast guard firehouse. funniest of all is i used to own a real firetruck with lights and everything. That thing was the bomb man.
