my friend Sweetaznbebe asked me if i could write a poem 4 her on chinese/vietnamese new year, so i did. read it plz!!! >w<

Chinese New Year

Lanterns light your path
As you stroll through the bright Chinese Village
Illuminated with thousands of lights
Families reunited once more in their houses
Come together at a table
Covered with chicken, fish
Dumplings, and oranges
The house is filled with a heavenly smell of food

The night sky is filled with firecrackers
Red flashes of light light up the sky
The sky darkens once more
Only to light up once more
But the most amazing thing
Besides the food, families and the red light
Is the golden lion
Dancing, leaping, twisting and turning
Its mane streaming like a golden wind
Its giant paws fly through the air with ease
It rears up and roars
Chasing away bad luck and evil spirits
For the rest of the new year
