Testimony of the Girl Next Door

I live in this world
Full of people and places
Who seem to take up
All the space around me
But I still feel deserted

I sit in my room
Listening to the tv in the background
It says something about God
About His love for us
And about what He did for me

Then… for a split second
I don’t feel alone any more
I figure that being alone is not what He would want for me
But to allow others to love me
And to love others

I listen as it gives direction
It tells me what to do and what to say
I feel compelled to do what it says
To love others and to be loved by them
I say what it says to say and do what it says to do

I feel like a new person is living inside of me
For the first time I want to run, jump, and hug other people
To tell them of what God has done for me and for them as well
But most of all….
I want to tell them I LOVE THEM!
