[[STAGE REPORT: FEB. 3, 07-ROXY THEATRE, ATLANTA]]
Well, my friends, I have made it back from the most amazing performance of my life in one piece. YAY!
Dir en grey was really ready to kick it with the American crowd at the Roxy on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007~ Out of all the Live shows that I have watched on the DVDs, etc. this has got to be their best....and it is not just because I was there. There was an enegry that was so overwhelming you just never took your arm out of the air. Of course, my arm pointed at Kaoru the entire time, but you know what I mean...
The band played 18 songs for a decent one hour and 45 minute show. Their last song was (HURRAY) Clever Sleazoid, which everyone was really happy about. Speaking of being happy, I am so glad that the audience really got into their show because the whole band looked VERY pleased Kaoru just couldn't stop smiling...even Kyo smiled quite a bit! ^.^
As for some of the crazy add ins, lets just say that the band really like to spit and pour water on you~ Especially Kaoru and Toshiya.... I was in the front row and no more than 5 feet away from Kaoru the entire time...except when he moved to the edge of the stage, then I got almost close enough to touch him (DAMN GUARD RAILS scream ). But, Kaoru threw his guitar picks and one happened to flutter in front of where we were standing, and now, thanks to my bestest friend Sade, I have Kaoru's pick (that he kissed AND played with)....at the end of the concert, the dumped the remainder of their supply of water bottle on us. But Toshiya took it to a new level. Me and Sade were parched for thirst and we planned on letting Toshiya know...so, like little baby birds, we held our mouths open and to our great suprise Toshiya started pouring water into our mouths. OMFG! ::nose bleed:: Not to mention he spit in them too. ^.^ Which is always a plus....my friends Sade and Haru got Die's picks...so no one came out of the concert empty handed.
As for Kyo, he was absolutely amazing as always! Though he added a new twist to this concert: a bucket full of water that he poured over his head and sat there. The bucket was black and big, bold white lettering that said "RAPED" was across the front. WOAH xd eek Then, at the end, he got so excited he picked up his stand and threw it towards the back of the stage. He was straight up crazay~ And, of course, he did his scratching and head banging and lip popping. ^.^
It was a great night and definently worth the 12 hours that we stood in line (in 35 degree weather~w/ wind chill) so that we could be in the front row. All I have to say is, DO NOT MISS A Deg concert for the WORLD! It will change your life forever!
