Bio: Aku once did live in a village. His name wasn’t always Aku. At one time when he lived in the village, it was Zugo, but he hated his name. Just like he hated his name, everyone in his village hated him. Aku was blamed for everything. Ever since he was small they would always beat him, whether the adults or the other children, he was always getting a whipped. The only thing he loved was his mother, but she was powerless against his beatings. One late night, there was a party, and all the village men got drunk and restless. They would have beat him, but he ran in hid. Instead, they went and took his mother and sister, and killed his mother out in the field. He never figured out what happened to his sister. Even though he remembers very little of her, he thinks of Sagonna often. Aku couldn't just leave his mother to rot in the field, so during the night, he went and dug a grave for his mother and buried her, and the only he had to place on top of her grave was a handful of flowers to remember her by. By age 12, Aku couldn’t take it anymore, so he left in the cover of darkness into the forest, hoping to never be found.
Aku walked and walked, deeper into the thick forest. The night sky was clouded and it soon started to rain. He had to find a shelter. It got so dark he could barely see anything. He was now soaked through the bone, very cold, and very tired. Aku staggered through the dark, wet, forest to a small clearing with a big tree in the middle. Exhausted, he fell at the base of the tree and slept.
When Aku awoke his stomach started rumbling. He hadn't dare take any of the food from the village, they surely they would seek and kill him. He decided to make this his home for a while. He set out only so far so that he could get back. The large tree sat in a small clearing. The shade was big, and the big and thick branches lay low near the ground. While exploring, Aku found a crystal clear river flowing near the tree. He thought it was safe to look up and down the river. Up the river he found a small pond with a huge rock with water flowing off forming a beautiful waterfall. Aku was too excited to swim now, he went down the river to explore some more. Down the river, he found a bridge that went over the rather large river. The bridge appeared to be part of a not so traveled road. After finding food, Aku went back to his tree. Yes, his tree.
Aku knew he needed protection, but he didn't know where to get it. One day while hiking the trail, to see where it led, he came to a village on the other side of the forest. He went through the shops and found a blacksmith. Aku worked for the blacksmith for a while in exchange for a katana, gold, and some tools for him to use.
When Aku was 14, he hammered the last nail into his cabin that he built for shelter from the wild animals. The only door on the cabin was in the front of the cabin, to keep the animals out. Through out the next year, he made improvements on his cabin and built a shed to keep his tools in. Aku continued to explore his surrounding areas, and found a lake about one in a half miles east of his cabin. Also he found numerous meadows where he loved to sit and watch the animals play. Aku relies mostly on things in the forest for food, but he's not a big fan of eating meat, so he made his own garden to grow food to eat.
Aku protected himself numerous times with his katana, and he learned to carry it with him using a sheath he made out of several layers of deerskin. The other power he has is that he can change into a wolf. He doesn't like to often, but he does when it is necessary.
At night, sometimes Aku will go out and sit under the stars and remember his mother and sister. He still misses her alot, but he has to get on with life, this is his way of mending his heart.
Aku likes to help people, so if a traveler gets lost, he will help them. But you may or may not find Aku, but you will know when you find him.
