The sailors sail the seas,
Needing nothing more than the breeze.
They heard a sound,
Their hearts began to pound.
The sound was so beautiful,
It was no call of a gull.
They looked out to see,
A mermaid singing a sweet melody.
They changed course,
As if pulled by a force.
She was so fair,
As the sunlight hit her hair.
They all loved her,
And her sweeet purr.
But they heaed to their doom,
They didn't see the rocks that did loom.
Their ship was torn in two,
And the mermaid did coo.
The sailors did drown,
And she did't even frown.
She smiled and said,
"I will have a tasty supper in my bed."
She had sung a lovely tune,
To lead the men to ruin.
She did eat the men,
All ten.
So even evil can snare,
Even when they're fair.
