I’ve walked this road,
Several times before,
A passage that leads,
To yet another locked door.
The blinding light,
That proves I’ve again been caught,
As I forget all the reasoning,
Behind what I’ve been taught.
A desolate soul,
Sent out to sea,
Lost in fake hope,
That one day she’d be free.
From all the others,
She’s been cast far away,
In a state of mind,
That tomorrow might bring a different day.
Feeling so happy,
Yet smiling so weak,
As if something is still out there,
That she yearns to seek.
Upon this raft,
I’ve been sent out to sea,
With one thought in mind,
It just cannot be.
I reach out a hand,
Like there’s something I’ve needed to say,
But slowly dark covers,
As I slowly die away.
