I WON THEATRE REGIONALS!!!!!!!!!!! Now I get to go to state!
It wasn't just me. There were others from my school, at least one in every category. I was absolutely shocked. When I looked at my feedback pages, I was like, "What in the world was this judge THINKING?! That run SUCKED!" It was weird: I did Blanche from Tennessee William's A Streetcar Named Desire. I was supposed to slam the bottle of 'booze' (water, actually) on the table, but I was holding the cup! So I slammed the cup, and the water in it splashed all over me...I didn't think that one through.
So I won. I got an over-all superior rating. There was a scene, a contemporary one from Beyond Therapy. It was absolutely hilarious. I could hear it in the other room...halfway across the building! The gay guy in the play is supposed to sing 'Frere Jacque' (sp?) in order to drown out what his ex-boyfriend is saying. It's awesome...and it makes me happy. ^_^
