Repressed oppressed
hidden from the world under a mask
calm cool collected
in an act that I've perfected.
When the slightest hint of inperfection through another's eyes
the mask appears and hides raw emotions away
Words cut deeper then any known weapon
devastion lays awake as the sounds of emptiness echo
across the barren plains where emotions once flourished
hidden below the surface they wait
storing, waiting until the time
when they can arise to once breathe
One points out another's flaw
yelling, complaning sounds echoing across the ocean
waves crashing over head
staying afloat once was so easy
when the water was calm now is raging
currents pulling waves pushing oxygen leaving
Alone in a desert the heat overhead
anger swirling sand wrapped through suffocation
a storm brews deep below life the barren surface
waiting for the ground to open up
emotions spilling
floods over the desert just to once again disappear
to sink into the sand to wait
to build up once more
Repression... oppression
everyday words
simple words may have effects unware to the human mind
a sensitive soul feels all
hidden beneath a mask of stone
calm cool collected
in an act that I have perfected
