Have you ever read a book, or watched a show or movie, and there was a character that you knew you were supposed to hate evil , but they ended up being your favorite twisted heart ?
DUH! rolleyes
Of course you have, everyone has.
Writers do this on purpose, to show you a reason to the evil ones as well.
A fairily new one (for me; he's been around a while sweatdrop ) is Lestat De Lioncourt from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. I've been wanting to read her series for a long time (since i am a HUGE fan of vampires xp ) and was not in the least disappointed. I've only read the first book so far, and seen the movie of it (Interview with the Vampire), but I've already fallen in love with it. heart heart
Especially Lestat. whee
Even though in the movie he's played by Tom Cruise, whom I normally am not a fan of stare , I must say, that he does a fantastic job portraying this delightfully vain and arrogant blonde vampire. He uses tricks and underhanded acts to keep the main character Louis close to him, even going so far as to.... damn, I can't give anything away!
However, I will share that my favorite part is when he picks up a corpse and starts gaily dancing around shouting "There's life in the old girl, yet!" rofl Horrible, yes, but still, you cannot help but laugh.
I highly recommend this series.
