Dear Journal,
Errodu had to do that horrid thing again... you know the one. I've written about it so many times before. I'd go more into detail if I wasn't so exhausted. He was pretty beaten up when I found him, his arm was mangled... I wonder what kind of creature he fought this time? It had to have been some sort of demon... a large one too...
I'm writing from Errodu's bedside. He hasn't woken up yet. I had managed to fix his arm with some of the notes Mother wrote. Her research was very useful, It's a shame so much of it was lost. I do keep a few of the basic books with me though. Formulas for Phasings, stuff like that. My Mother gave me one of her notebooks on healing and told me to keep it with me, before she died I mean. It's the only bit of her late Aether research I own... the rest is on some of the more Mundane elements. Not that anything in Gaiamancy is mundane mind you.
I had managed to use the Energy found naturally in a houseplant to repair Errodu's arm... though even with the help of that it still felt like I had just lifted 600 pounds... Forgive me if my handwriting is sloppy, I still feel Wobbly.
I really hate that book of Errodu's... sure, it can be useful at times, but it's more of a curse than a blessing... And no matter what we do, we can't get rid of it... the Consequences are just too dire... so we have to live with it. I'm the only other person at the academy who knows exactly what it is... and out of fear for the schools safety, I won't write it here.
I still despise the day we found it... It seemed like a fun day at first. He and I were out in the woods, playing "Adventure" and beating the crap out of puffballs and OMGs... when we found that thing... I had a strange feeling about It, but we took it home anyway... and then he had to open it...
He'll be getting up soon, I've got to go Journal.
