The birds no longer sing
The sun no longer shines,
My world no longer spins
Because you are no longer mine.

I don't know what happened
Why you had to let me go,

So I really just don't know.

Things were fine between us
And there wasn't any signs,
I guess I never bothered
To read between the lines.

I was missing out on everything
All the hints and all the clues,

One day you were here
The next day you were gone,
We went from just friends to a couple
But that didn't last for long.

I felt so stupid
For being so naive,
