Captain
Ccoffee

“Captain Ccoffee, what happened to yer old ship? The one ye came into port on seems much larger…” a rugged sailor asked of the pirate sitting in the back of the tavern.
“Interesting story, that,” Captain Ccoffee answered,
“Have a seat and I’ll tell ye all about it…”

“I had just barely managed to escape from the dread Giant Sea Eel of Doom, but me ship had been terribly damaged.

“There were two pirate- friendly ports nearby for me to choose from for gathering the needed supplies to repair me ship, but they both had different values.

“The first, port Sea Dog, charges three diblunes for the needed materials and two diblunes for making the repairs.

“The second, port Scurvy Scuttle-Butt, charges two diblunes for the needed materials and ye must do the repairs ye self.

“This was a dilemma, because even though the price was better than that of port Sea Dog, all but one member of me crew had been eaten in the last danger we’d faced.

“So what was I to do? Pay a bigger price and be back on the sea sooner, or save more money and take longer to get back on the sea?

“While I was thinking this over, I remembered something. I’m not just any captain; I’m the infamous pirate Captain Ccoffee! If anyone could pull off a daring alternative to these dull choices, it was I!

“There was only one thing to do. It would be dangerous, risky, and require all the piratical scheming I’d learned from over the years, but what is there to being a fearsome pirate if ye can’t dazzle people every once in a while with ye skills?

“And so it was that I came to be sailing into the distance on the grandest ship from the British Royal Navy, leaving behind me old hunk of junk ship. It might sound like a feat, and I’ll admit it was a bit hard to get away and over here, but as you can see I managed!” Captain Ccoffee finished with a grand smile to the crowd that had gathered around to hear his story.
“Yah right, the Giant Sea Eel of Doom?” One sailor laughed.
“The Royal Navy?” another joined in. Everyone had joined in now in laughing at the pirate, none believing his fish tale, when another sailor burst into the tavern panting and out of breathe.
“The…Th-there’s a fleet of ships fast approaching, and it’s hard to tell, but they look to be the Royal Navy!” Silence fell upon the tavern.
“You Fool! To Have Led Them Right Here To-“
But as they turned they just caught a glimpse of Captain Ccoffee slipping out the door.
“Next time, I’ll tell you the story of how I escaped from Royal Navy for a second time!” he called back.
