Since hubby and I spent the whole day last Monday cleaning up the Patio I took some pics. It was a mess. Weeds EVERYWHERE. Pond was green and the rocks in it were ugly. (Rocks came with it, I've been wanting to change them forever.)
Pond water looks green in pics, but it isn't. Its the green umbrella blocking out the sunlight making it appear to have a tint. It is a little cloudy though, but thats only because I changed so much water at once and caused a bacteria bloom. It needed the change majorly though. Hubby had a red ear slider living in it for a few months and it left a lot of waste in the water.
The bright orange fish is actually a large comet goldfish (the kind you get at the fair). The turtle devoured all the koi, so big goldie was the only survivor. Oddly enough though, goldfish tend to be a little smarter then Koi. When a predator like a raccoon or cat comes, the Goldfish know to swim low. Have heard that koi don't! We have a few new koi now though.
I picked out Pansies. They were cute and pretty and cheap. $2 for a 6 pack at home depot.

he/she/it is cute.
About the Kois, my mom had some in her gardenlake.. but some has become a very big dinner for the cats from our neighbour.. the others grow to big kois which are more than 30cm tall...
