I'm an only only child. I was born in San Francisco, but moved to Colorado at a fairly young age. I live in a small town that's pathetically boring and about 99% white. (I'm Polish, Italian, German, French, and Irish.)

I'm a freshman at a high schol in the nearest city. There is a high school in my town, but it's full of rich white coke-heads, and if you're not a cheerleader, you may as well be a leper.

So I open-enrolled at the school with the best fine arts department in my district. It also has an excellent academic program, and for the most part, I really like it. The choir is fabulous, and I've made a lot of friends (all my old ones went to other schools.)

I get labeled as emo, but it's bullshit. I don't fit into a stereotype. No one does. I may dress in black and listen to Hawthorne Heights and write shitty poetry, but I also love musical theatre, choir, and I'm not depressed. I have my bad days, but doesn't everyone?

So don't try to define me with one word. Because you can't. Give up, ********.
