Art worth Remembering (SasoDei)
Yay!^^ It's my second SasoDei fanfic.^^ Anyway, this one is dedicated to a very very special online friend of mine, No_More_Pain.^^ She's so cool, so I decided to make her a little welcome back present when she got back from her two week trip. Anyway, here it is.^^

Art Worth Remembering

By: Sasoris_Puppet

The hot summer sun beamed down as a certain member of Akatsuki stooped beside a stream, splashing some of its cool water in his face. Unfortunately it only provided a few seconds of relief before the heat once again overtook the pleasant sensation. Deidara gave a discontent moan before leaning against a tree. He had abandoned the Akatsuki cloak he normally wore, feeling it was far too hot for it. Even so, his black tank top clung to his skin from the mixture of water and sweat. As he attempted to fan himself off with his hand his mind drifted off to a thought that had nothing to do with the heat. In fact, it was much more important, at least in his opinion. Where was Sasori? It had been a little over a week since the two artists had officially called themselves a couple. Why had the puppet master just up and disappeared? That wasn't like him, especially given the circumstances. As the blonde thought of this, he raised a hand to his blue eyes... Eyes Sasori had once said reminded him of the brightest sapphires... and brushed away a tear he fought so hard not to let fall. His red headed lover had been gone all day with no mention of where he was going or what he was doing, not to mention when he'd be back. Maybe it shouldn't have bothered the blonde artist so much, but he was worried sick about him. Deidara's blue orbs traveled to the stream, watching the sun's rays bounce off of the small waves formed from the current. ~Where are you, Sasori no Danna?~ He thought, drifting off into a light sleep due to the heat.

Deidara woke up a few hours later to a familiar voice calling his name as a hand gently nudged him. His blue orbs slowly opened as he grogily turned his head twards the voice. As he saw the face of his lover he felt all his energy return to him as he tackled him to the ground and kissed him on the lips rather suddenly. "Sasori no Danna, where the heck were you, un? I was worried sick!" Sasori's cheeks turned a light red as he responded.

"Well, you see... I was looking for a place to er.... I don't know... Deidara, would you like to go out with me? I think I found a place you may like." The blonde gently lifted himself from the puppet master and helped him up to a sitting position, understanding why he had suddenly disappeared for so long. He wanted to surprise him.

"Of course I will." He replied, giving him a soft kiss on the lips. The puppet master's crimson orbs lit up with a hint of a smile on his face.

"Thank you, Deidara. I'm ready whenever you are."

"I'm ready right now." The blonde responded, standing up and brushing himself off. The red head gave a nod and followed suit, taking his lover's hand.

"This place isn't too far away and it's pretty nice." Sasori stated, taking a quick glance at the sky. The sun was almost ready to begin setting, which meant they should probably get started. The two artists walked along the stream, talking amongst each other about the day and the various surroundings around them.

After a short walk, Sasori and Deidara got to a lake nearby. The setting sun reflected against the waves as the lights from a nearby village began to become visible. The pair sat beside the body of water, admiring the reds, pinks, and oranges in the sky. Sasori gently wrapped his arms around Deidara who slowly leaned against him afterwards. They stayed that way until the last of the sun's rays died from the sky and gave into the blackness of night.

Soon after it became dark the sky lit up with a bright, colorful light followed by a loud booming sound. More quickly followed afterwards as Deidara gave an excited gasp. "Sasori no Danna, you didn't tell me there would be fireworks. They're so beautiful."

"Glad you like the surprise." Sasori responded with something of a giggle hidden in his voice. The puppet master felt very much like the teen he appeared to be. The pair exchanged a kiss before watching the display once again. It was around that time when Deidara began to giggle. The red head holding him cast his crimson gaze at him curiously.

"So... Does this mean you'll start appreciating my art, un?" His lover thought for a moment before finding the appropriate response.

"Well, in this case, it's meant to last, don't you think?"

"I think we can actually agree on that." The blonde responded, leaning back into the puppet master. "Thank you for all of this." He said, brushing his lips against his lover's cheek before watching what remained of the fireworks display. This... Them both being together watching the fireworks... This was true art, and they both could agree on that statement.
