My real name has strangely fit my interests.
My first name means pure (eh, yeah, whatever) but it is a Celtic/Gaelic name. I have always loved Celtic stuff. Music, History, anything. My middle name, Annette, means gracious (Nope, clumsy as heck). The name is French, and I love the French language and I'm interested in French culture (Shut up, French haters, they don't owe us anything) (Remember the Revolution? We couldn't have been a nation without them). As for my last name, Freeman, it's English and means (get this) free man. I have a lot of English roots. But I love the Brits too!
It's weird. The name seeps into the brain.
My mother named my sister Cally after a whore in a Clint Eastwood movie. While she was pregnant, my mother, who never thought she was a pretty woman (she was of course) prayed for a beautiful baby. So Cally grows up and has a hunky dorey life. One day, she decides to look up what some people's names meant. Beverly (mom) from the Beaver Valley
Cally - lo and behold a direct translation from Hebrew into beautiful.
My mom nearly peed her pants when she heard that.
