All in All we search to find
Where we left our world behind
In these hallways everlasting
In these doorways we keep passing
Fur for walls and scales for floor,
Skin for windows makes us sure
We must get out we must escape
But sounds we hear tell us it’s too late.
A dripping steady, slowly comes.
A ticking, constant, time it sums.
We run and try to get away
Stop to catch our breathe, things sway.
We catch ourselves, lean on the wall
And what we feel makes our skin crawl.
Tapping, as if from the other side
Like someone poking, through our mind.
Whispers from inside the walls,
Our sanity begins to fall,
We hear the sound, like something crawls
Stops just behind us in this hall.
The only sound we hear now,
Our heart beats fast and breath we hold down.
Should we turn, should we look?
For fear we slowly turn to see-
All in all we search to find
Where we left our world behind
In these hallways everlasting
In these doorways we keep passing…
