heart Hey guys, I'm back heart ! Miss me wink ? ... I guess not sweatdrop Anyways, London was great! I finally understand why my sister loves living there so much!
Anyways, here are my journal entries (WARNING: Read at own risk as you may become incredibly bored at reading all this. This has to be my longest journal entry yet!) : Real world: Saturday: Had to wake up around 8:30am today to catch the 10:00am train to London. Had breakfast at Macs (very rare indeed) before my brother drove me to the station.
...It was when I was on the train did I realize that it may have been a little unwise to go to London today. In one word: "Football" sweatdrop Way too many football fans on the train. I had to end up standing until I reched Cardiff where all the fans flooded out and I could finally get a seat sweatdrop . Well from hen onwards, the journy was quite swift. Although the journy took about 3 hours, it gave me time to think about a few things. While on the train, I suddenly remembered a scientific fact a friend of mine told me: "Did you know that as long as you are in a train that is in motion, your rate of aging is halfed?". The view outside was quite nice. I particularlly like it when I'm sitting, facing the opposite direction the train is moving. "The view looks as though I'm falling into an endless pit. Looking at the ground, everything is a blur, besides for the rails. It's as though everything else is moving like a conver belt, but the rails stay just as they are."
It was about 1:30pm once I arrived to Paddington sation. I could see my sister the moment I got off the train. It's funny how you can identify a friend/family/loved one at a distance, no matter how many people are around you. They kinda stand out like a black dot on white paper. Anyways, I got reaquainted with my sister, plus I also met her boyfriend. He seemed nice enougth. Well, he only came to the station with my sister to welcome me on my arival and left my sister and I to catch up on things.
We took the underground trains in order to get to Finsburry park, where my sister lives. Ahh...the underground trains remind me of Hong kong alover again and for a brief moment, I thought I was.
Finally aried at my siter's appartment. It's kinda better than I expected. I can't really describe it, but one word does come to mind when looking at it: "Freeom".
After a short rest, and unpacking, along with giving my sister her early birthday present (Casio "Exilim" digital camra) and easter egg we left the appartment and caught a #19 bus to get to Soho (I think that's what it was called anyway sweatdrop ). By an incrediblelly rare chance, my we bubped into my sisters boyfroiend again on th bus. My first day in London, and I've already seen so many shops I want to explore, particularly the tea and whisky shops. Too bad I only got about £100 on me crying (but I guess I could always use my card xp ). Oh yeah, that reminds me, nevr have I seen so many varities of characters on each street. Even saw a couple of guys skipping accross the streets sweatdrop xd .
Well it was getting late, so again my siters bf went back home, and my sister and I headed back to the appartment. For the rest of the night, we rented "Kill bill 2" and got some Indian take out xp .
Sunday: Easter! Woot! Well, being easter and all, not many things were open for us to visit. Anyways, we visited the british museum. We only stayed there for about an hour due to the fact that there was way too many people that day. I did however get some things at the giftshop. A set of 10 postcards and a bookmark xp We got a light snack at a japanise cafe (cant remember the name sweatdrop ) nearby. The sushi was quite nice xd . We also visited the London transport musium (it was a tad bit too kiddish, but was still good). I was so tempted to buy a funky shirt with the underground london map on it at the gift shop xd . However, saying that it was ?22, it kinda put me off sweatdrop . At around 12:30, my sister took me to a funky resturant called "Wagmama". My sister ordered the seasonal vegtable ramen, and I odered the breaded chicken with rice and curry with a side order of duck gyouza (fried dumplings). Damn, that was the best meal I had in a while biggrin ! At around 1:00 the sky look rather strange. The sun looked like the moon. This odd sight also inspired me a little. The rest of the day, we just visited some of the landmarks like St. Brian's chirch, the millenium bridge, the london eye. It's been a while since I walked so much sweatdrop My sister made us a little meal when we got home: Omellete with rice xd That reminds me, I also managed to find an internet cafe nearby xd !
Monday: We went to visit the "Tate modern" art gallery with one of my sisters friends. We also went to visit a few more famous landmarks. Later on that day we went to a tea house too meet up with my sisters bf. Finally we went to a night club called 93 live. I had a few drinks, but not to the point of being "Hammered". There was a live band that night too called "Sweet talk". The music was really good biggrin .
Tuesday: Well my sister needed to work today, so I went out into the big world by myself. I just mostly walked around Picadilly for about 1:30 hours (due to the fact that I got off at the wrong stop on the bus sweatdrop ), then took the underground to get to Coventry. I had lunch at wagamamas again for the last time biggrin xd . Finally, I arrived to a haven to anime fans all over: "Forbiden planet" eek ! Never have I seen so many figures, mangas and anime under one roof! It was a "Toys R Us" for anime fans! Toycapsules, figures, TCG, mangas, ainime, you name it they most likely had it! What also shocked me was that they had Magic the gathering cards there too! Not only did they have the modern series, but they also had really ond ones too! Boxes of them, such as "Fallen empires"! Obviously, I bought a few packs sweatdrop . I also brought a few mangas: Dears vol 2, saiyuki vol 6 + 7, and Galaxy angels vol 4. I basiclly spent most of the day here sweatdrop At around 7:15, my sister brought tickets to the theater to watch "The producers". This was one of the reasons why I came to London, to watch this since my sister told me so much about it. I wasn't disapointed one bit.
Wednesday: "Sigh" I didn't really do much besides stay at my sisters appartment until 7:20. All I did was watch TV and pack up to catch the train home. Well my sister said goodbye and onto the train I went. There wasn't much of a veiw this time due to the fact it was dark outside. I got home at around 11pm. This may have been the end of my holliday at London, but you can bet that I'll be back there real soon smile . The house hasn't really changed, although I do admit I missed it.
Cyber/Gaia world: Sunday:Well, well. This reminds me of then the gaia aniversary event started: I missed it. Well time to start shopping again...
