Ominousness abounds *rose*
Not far from Med-deck...
The being that had managed aboard the Nerissa Altsoba stayed where it was. It had been missed by the evil creatures that had flooded by, and barely managed to stay hidden the entire time from everyone. But there was much still going on ahead, and it wasn't sure if it was yet safe enough to enter. Instead, it kept very much out of sight, while keeping an eye on the events going on in the room up ahead. This was very exasperating, considering how long it had waited for this day to come. But there was no choice but to wait. Just a bit longer.

Rose's POV
Rose was astounded by this person who seemed so in charge. All she could do was listen and watch. For a moment, the response that the Renstok wanted an innocent they could corrupt caught her. One that hadn't killed yet.

Rose looked down at her hands. They were clean, of course, where she had surrounded them with air like a sword extension on an arm. But higher up, near her elbow, there was blood. And on her pants, and shoes. Looking back down the hall, she saw the dead creatures. It was, of course, impossible to tell who had killed which. But it didn't matter. It was too late.

Frantically, Rose magically changed clothes. There was still blood on her shoes. She changed shoes. There was blood on her wings. On her fox-tail. On her gold armlet, dark halo, and even her forehead jewel. She banished her wings and tail, and the armlet and halo. This was something that she inherently knew she could do now- along with how to fight so well- information that had been sealed away from her until she had been healed.

But she could not dismiss her forehead jewel. Instead, she began trying to wipe the blood off it. She grabbed a canteen out of her bag, and wet her hands, and rubbed furiously at her forehead. She couldn't get it off. It was still there. The blood was there still. All that blood.

Of course, there had been no blood on her forehead jewel. Part of it's inherent magic ensured that nothing could mar its surface. But Rose kept trying to clean it, her mind not relenting, trying to push away what had happened.

Taran's POV
Taran listened quietly, though he was still fuming. Renstok. He had never come across them himself, but he knew of them. He watched as Rose suddenly seemed panicked, about the same time n** mentioned that they were looking for another, an innocent they could corrupt. Rose was reacting almost hysterically, albeit in quite a quiet way.

Taran listened a while longer. But the rest of what was said did not matter at the moment.

Hoping Rose's frantic attempt to wash her face -or was it just her forehead?- might catch the attention of anyone not already focused on the corpse on the scanner or on n**, Dragon, or Lord Avondale, Taran quietly slipped out of med deck and down the hall. There was something he had to do.

Walking silently, he made his way quickly to the bay where the Dragonfly was resting. She looked beat up, but that didn't matter. He didn't board her- he didn't want ANTIE-D to sense him on board. Instead, he walked around to the far side of the Dragonfly was, and sat on the ground.

Taran meditated there on the ground. His jade pendant glowed softly as he did, almost pulsing irregularly. After all, some things could not be easily dismissed. And this was more than regular meditation.

Se'rox

As Xangord picked herself back up and left the house quickly, Se'rox's concern rose. Xangord must not feel safe here either. Se'rox knew of only one place Xangord would go. But she should be able to go there, with Xink's help. Xangord would be all right for the moment.

Se'rox shook her head slightly. She would have to catch up with her soon. But she dared not follow so quickly. She still felt like her portals were being watched.

Instead, she went with ZuchaX III back into the house. He offered to show her the other floors, which she had felt were there before she had ever set foot inside. They went down, and ZuchaX III gave her a little guided tour. After a little while, Se'rox began to wonder about something.

"ZuchaX?" she asked. "What would you do if you met your Somebody?" It seemed like a fairly random question. But considering she had just met hers, she felt... strange about the whole thing. As soon as the words left her mouth, she realized she may have just said the wrong thing, as ZuchaX most likely resented his Somebody, as many Nobodies do.

Hmm, Rose is suffering from a common psychological phenomena. Poor dear, but there's no treating it without severe counseling....

Taran must be some kind of ninja to sneak away from a huge group like that without a noise...
