Ok, so this morning kinda sucked, I didn't work those four hours I was supposed to, and I had to use my last available point on the attendance policy my weekend job has, because I overslept!! Usually when this happens, I remember hearing my alarms, and hitting snooze, rolling over and falling asleep again, hence me then (possibly) waking up late. Today, though, was odd. I had gone to bed early, to get enough sleep. I don't even remember any of my alarms (I set three, just to make sure I get up....in case you hadn't noticed yet, I am NOT a morning person..) going off at all!! Which is really weird, 'cause, like I said, I usually remember hearing (and turning off or disregarding) at least one of them. So, I'm all mad at myself because I essentially wasted my last point - until they start going off my record (sometime in June the first disappears), if I miss again, or even clock in more than 5 minutes late, I'll lose my weekend job. Which would kinda suck, even though it'd be nice not to have to work weekends anymore. So, I have to be super careful now. I think I'm semi-paranoid about oversleeping now, maybe that will help me be up on time.

Aside from that, though, it was a pretty good day. I met my parents and we left my car at a shopping center and drove up together to see my brother's faire performance. I really enjoyed it, and poking around the faire, although there wasn't much there - it's a small one put on by a college group, which my brother was a member of when he went to college there. He's still in the city, just not at the college anymore. He's in a group with four others, and they did a variety act - some singing, dancing, and random silliness. So, 'twas rather enjoyable. It started raining (after we were able to see a full set of their show), so my parents and I left to get a bite to eat and then head back. We went back to someplace my mom had been to with my brother when she'd been up that way some other time. It was ok - my parents enjoyed the food they had much more than I, but I still semi-enjoyed it, although I don't think I'd go back. We then wandered into a market we'd seen next door - luckily, indoor, so we weren't being rained on. it was kinda interesting, and we each got a desert there - I got an ice cream cone, the flavor was called Creme de Violet, if I remember correctly (it was something like that, anyway), and from the description, I think it had an actual plant extract in it. It was yummy. whee Well, that's enough blabbering for today.
