madeline: reference
madeline is shoved back in time one night and plopped from her bed into an alley way. confused and in a different time period she goes out trying to find a place to stay. while wondering around the streets one day she meets a young man who is known as the detective. madeline being intrigued by him proposes that she live with him and be like an assistant. he being a lonely man lets her. he teaches her all about different things but she takes a liking to astrology and will try and use the stars to help solve cases. while staying with him she falls in love with him but with her being younger and him being oblivious to things like romance he doesn't really notice. the detective: reference
a very quick witted young man who loves to help others and use his mind. he is reluctant to take in madeline at first as help because of how odd she is, but in the end her oddness is what intrigues him most. she's like a small mystery just for him. he enjoys working on problems and filling his mind with things. he also seems drawn into himself in a rather anti-social manner but when solving a case becomes quite flamboyant. [age: 25]
relationship: work partners. madeline lives with him and is madly in love with him which he can't really see. they are good friends who tend to bicker over things, he feels a strong sense of protection for her.
