I applaud my idiocy
...yeah.

I'm a runner. Well, at least, during the summer and fall I'm a runner. The rest of the time, I'm a "runner." Yeah, I'm one of those people who's a diehard runner during my sport, Cross Country (DIE TRACK DIE) but then after the season I... eh... stop. Heh... Oh, and as to the die track die thing, I discovered after two fairly dull middle school years of track, I couldn't stand running like that. And the meets were too long. Yeah, I know, but little things count.

Anyways, so I decided to start running again today, cuz last year I was like... 20 seconds away from a varsity letter. Not to happy with the coach, since a new runner who was a little faster than me (and a bit snobbish if I do say so myself) got a letter. Yes, she was faster, but only by a little bit. -sigh- I know, I shouldn't be all like, oh, it's only 20 seconds. In running, that's actually a lot. <_< Just still... not happy.

Moving on. So yeah, I decided to start running again. See, our team does conditioning in the summer (yeah, hence why I run in summer, otherwise... no), and I always go to that. But the first couple are a little rough, I think, because I don't run at all beforehand. So I decided, hey, why not start a little sooner? I'm not getting the benefit of keeping in shape by running track, so I might as well start running on my own. And I did fairly well for having not run since last... uh... october/one 5 mile run in November. Heh... well, anyways, I got like 29:37 for a 5K run (that's about 3.1 miles for those who don't know). Not great in any race, especially not at this competitive level. But I was proud of myself, since I thought I wouldn't get below 30 minutes. (My dad actually guessed 34 minutes when I told him I did pretty well for having not run. XD He was rather surprised I was under 30 also)

Then I go and have pizza for dinner.

Yes, I am that smart. sweatdrop Yeah, pizza's not that great for me probably. I mean, it's not that I'm running to drop weight, but I'm not sure it does me any good. Yes, pizza has carbs, which are good for runners. We even had pizza dinners in middle school the night before a race (in high school we have spaghetti dinners which are even better heart ) Regardless, that's before.

Eh, maybe not as idiotic as I thought. But still, I should have been running before this. Ugh... and tomorrow I'll probably be sore. Fun...
