Sly as a Fox, wise as an Owl, fast like a Cheetah. A few people probably come to mind when you heard at least one of these phrases. Well Ren is all of the above and more. She can take on the attributes of any animal she catches in her sights. From a keen sense of smell, to gaining swiftness in heavily wooded areas. Ren takes on the instinctive and innate traits that set animals apart from the human race. Her power is limited to one animal at a time. But she can take on multiple traits of the same creature.
Now you might be thinking, how is this different from shape shifting? Well, Ren doesn't take on a transformed state when she gains animal traits. Aside from maybe a few minor aesthetic features. Ranging from eye color and shape, to sharpened nails and larger canines. But she still retains the general shape of a human.

When they made the phrase, let the music move you. They probably had Ren in mind. Music drives her very existence, if she was to go one day without it. She might just lose her mind. Her parents are both musicians, they are composers and have written for several movies and plays. So needless to say, she has been surrounded by music her entire life. But, she doesn't have much interest in making her own music. She would rather listen to her favorite bands and singers all day long. She prefers to write, using the music as her inspiration.
Ren tends to be rather quite around other people, letting the music drown out the world around her. But when she is around her friends she is quite loud and hard to ignore. There isn't a song that she can't find for every situation. Her Mp3 player is filled with so much music. If you ever need to know a song that is just on the tip of your tongue. Ren can find it, play it and sing along to it for you.
She attributes everything in life to a song. Even her schoolwork, she has been known to get in a lot of trouble for having her Mp3 player with her during class. But she can't help it, without her music it is impossible for her to concentrate. She could care less about getting in trouble though, she's never served a detention, not because she wasn't given it. She just could care less for the authority they try to push on students these days.
