Background: Kerp was born to a happy family. His mother and father were a famous team of news reporters. Kerp grew up around pokemon and he soon grew to love them. His first pokemon was a Mareep whom he called Aro. They did everything together and even after receiving a shiny Chikorita was still the pokemon he walked around with. One day walking through Hearthome City and not paying attention Kerp walked into the middle of the street. A car zoomed by and Aro pushed Kerp out of the way to save him and was killed. Kerp became depressed but words from his friends inspired him to work to acheive the dream him and Aro was working to.
