September 20th was me and Daryl's three year anniversary... has it been that long already?
I spent the day with LuLu over at my parent's house watching cops save abused or neglected animals, drinking blueberry flavored white tea, and trying to make LuLu laugh (I found her a babydoll in a trunk in a room full of castoff objects... its her baby and she smiles at it). Some of the owners of those animals should have ginormously large objects that are covered with spikes shoved in their naughty places... the people in Houston saved a horse that hadn't been fed for over four months, I was happy. The cowgirl that adopted it said after all the horse had been through it would make sense if it held a grudge against humans, but it had such a large heart it chose to trust and obey her anyways.
"Oh, but why oh why did you spend your anniversary very nearly alone?"
Well, my parents went to see Obama speak in Jacksonville... at that park where the jazz festival is held... and Daryl had to work.
"Well, that sucks.... so what did you and Daryl do once he got home?"
He came over to my parent's house and watched the police save animals in New York City.... then we left to go to Wal*Mart and wandered until he couldn't anymore because he hurt and was tired... we ended up bickering in the car and in the parking lot, it rained. When we got home he helped carry stuff in and then left to go get gas while I walked the dog. He cooked me something to eat, because I suck at cooking meat... and then he fell asleep. I've been watching random reality shows and drinking Mt.Dew.... he snores really loud.
"Well did you guys get anything for eachother?"
Yes... I got him a card that was really sweet, it was one that made Hallmark cards sound cheap and had a couple of cartoon bears on it and looked cheerful... he got me a Twix candybar. I loved the chocolate even though it hurt my teeth to eat it... seems to be the theme of this day.
Happy three year anniversary to me...
