Spring-hime was nowhere to be found. Beryl-sama was off hunting traces of unidentified youma, and so I had no choice but to involve the other tennou in searching for her. We looked high and low. I even went to Crystal Tokyo to see if she might be at a friends house but there was no trace. It was becoming hard not to panic.

Her voice came softly and suddenly through the yellow rose I kept in my lapel. (Strangely it does not seem to wither even ghough it has been out of soil and water for some time.) Without even knowing where to go I held onto the rose and teleported there immediately and caught sight of a rather ominous man leering over Bri-hime. Without a thought I charged him and just as my hand would have connected with a b blow he disappeared, taking Bri with him and leaving me in the clearing with a handful of empty air. The others were just as surprised as I was.

I let out a yell of rage and looked around but there was no sign of him or Bri-hime. “We have to find her!”, I said to the others. They reacted even if only out of their own protection, for if Bri-hime is harmed, Beryl would be furious and that was motivation enough to assist.I did the only think I could think of. I went back to Bri-hime’s garden and sat down near her roses, hoping perhaps there would be a connection. Holding my yellow rose gingerly I whispered, “Bri-hime, can you hear me? Where are you? My heart was pounding in my chest and my mind was reeling. Who was that man? What did he want with Bri-hime?

When I awoke, Bri-hime was up and about and while at first I was worried about her, she did seem to be alright now. I was relieved, though only for a moment because another surprise awaited me outside in the garden. One of Bri-hime’s blossoms actually spoke to her and I recognized it for what it was, Xenian blossom, known to be able to posess others to do their will with just a whiff of the fragrance. Quickly I pulled Bri-hime away standing between her and the flower, and holding my breath just to be safe. The strange thing was, Bri-hime was not only unafraid but some how able to make friends with this blossom, who it turns out is a fairly nice blossom under Bri-hime’s care. However, I didn’t relax for an instant until Bri-hime started singing in her bedroom. The song was so beautiful and I could nto possibly imagine anything that would willingly break the peace at that moment. Eventually what with the worry and the rough night we had last, we both fell asleep.

I awoke suddenly feeling the urgent summons from Beryl-sama in my mind. I snuck out of Bri-hime’s room careful not to wake her or her new Xenian Blossom friend, who I now trusted at least most of the way tough I sup[suppose I can be a bit overprotective. Beryl-sama was pleased with my energy gathering efforts and Nephryte made no move to outflank me. It was a very good beginning to the day. Just as I was about to get back to my plans, Beryl-sama told us about the arrival of her son Lord Chaos. I thought nothing of it and just awaited his arrival as I went back to my plans. My thoughts were disturbed by a voice calling out to me, teasing that I was the first to fall under Beryl’s power, and throwing out several insolent insults. I whirled to see who it was and recognized the resemblance immediately. At first my instinct was to hang him up by his hair and teach him to disrespect his elders, and I have to admit I was fuming but I restrained myself and addressed him as befitting a queen’s son. It seems we are to have our hands quite full with the young upstart. Strangely though he makes me wonder at my own youth and whether or not I had mentors that I gave just as hard of a time.

Either way I was so busy between the new arrival and taking the next step in my plan that I must have missed Bri-leaving her room. When I went back to check in on her she was not there and neither was the Xenian blossom. I then checked the garden but did not see her there either. Now I began to get nervous. Where could she be?
