She must keep the balance to the world according to her element. She must protect the planet. A witch. That’s what she is.

The water, beautiful and serene, appeared to mirror her past. The past of her being a normal girl. Everything before she became a witch…

But the past was murky. Before she could fully grasp her memories, they would fade away, slipping from her fingers. Maybe the water would help her. This is why she visited the river every single day. She wanted to remember the pleasures of life. She wanted to be immature again. She wanted to… truly live.

Gazing into the rather deep river, she started to see the field near her home. But it was different. Everything seemed much brighter; more full of life and happiness. Sitting on the front porch of her house was a boy. His eyes were a stunning evergreen. They seemed to perceive her easily.

Then a feeling came to her. A… warm feeling that felt nostalgic. She didn’t know what to name this feeling, but all she knew is she wanted to throw her arms around the boy…

But the memory didn’t last long. It began to rain, and the drop of rain rippled the water, dissolving the image of the field and the boy. The witch snapped back to the way she was before: cold, and numb from emotions. She didn’t know how to feel anymore.

There was only one purpose for her to exist: Protect the human race and the Earth from all danger.
