I now see how true that is.
That's not the only thing that changes when you get older. And maybe it's not older that I've gotten, but more experienced. I haven't done enough, but at the same time I feel like I've seen it all. Either way, one thing is for sure.
As things have fallen apart around me (and even in me) people seem more and more stupid each day.
There are certain people I miss. People I used to know, but don't know anymore. There are some people that just need to come to that realization. That maybe there are some things that can't change. Some things that's shouldn't change.
It's a bit of a double standard on their part because I too should come to the same realization. Some things can't/shouldn't/won't go back to how they were.
But some things can change, and will change back. And so I'll be patient. I have plenty of years on my life, I know that.
This is all nonsense in a way, but I have my point.
My point is that no one should try too hard. Never try too hard to be someone you're not, because in the end, it might ruin what's most important. That pathetic attempt to be better for someone else didn't work for me, so it's likely it doesn't work for anyone. And if it does work, just know that you'll never be truly happy.
So for those of you in my life that are truly stupid, just know that I love you. I loved you before, love you now, and will still love you when you come to the same realization.
