Childhood
Volos was born to normal human parents. When he was born, his eyes had been completely white and cloudy. His parents and the doctors feared he was born blind. At three days old, the newborn Volos’s eyes changed to a red color. All signs of the white and cloudiness had vanished. His parents still feared he was going to end up blind.
As Volos reached his toddler years, no signs of the white and cloudiness returned but he began to speak of a creature visiting him at night. His parents waved it off as a simple childhood fantasy.
During his years at grade school, Volos made many friends. It was during his final year in elementary whenever he discovered his not so human side. A bully was picking on a friend of his and had pushed the boy down to the ground. Volos in response had pushed the bully away from his friend. The bully then switched to getting ready to beat Volos. The young Volos closed his eyes, ready to be between. Opening them when he felt no pain, he saw the bully on the ground with scared eyes and his friend moving away in fear.
A pair of dragon wings, a set of horns and a long black dragon’s tail had appeared. Not knowing what to do, Volos ran home.
His parents moved away, taking Volos far away from normal humans.
During the remaining years of his childhood, Volos continued to be visited by the creature. The creature taught him how to control the drago human form he had.
Teenager
Volos finally returned to a public school at the age of 13. His parents, seeing that he had more control of himself, were allowing it. During his days, Volos acted perfectly normal. In the night, he was being taught by the creature.
At age 15, Volos finally asked the creature what it was and where it came from. The creature responded with a short sentence. “Dragon. Within you.” These words puzzled Volos and he began to search for the answers.
The answer came in the form of a grave. A man who had nearly lived 200 years and died the day after Volos’s birth. Since he was not going to get answers from a dead man, he researched the man. The man had been possessed since birth by a creature known as the Spirit dragon. The Spirit dragon never died. It would simply find a new human body to change and lived within.
Knowing this now, Volos knew that his life had been determined to be abnormal at his birth.
Adulthood
Volos graduated from his high school top of his class. He moved to college and was attending when his father passed away. His mother needed him more so he told his professors and they agreed that he continue his education after his mother was taken care of.
He currently lives in a small apartment near his mother’s home and visits her every day he can.
