Memories of a Forgotten
ENTRY ONE

Like the fog a haunting melody weaved through out the moist, creaky forest. The words were some how full of pain and despair yet the song held this enchanting and haunting touch. Its owner stayed near a well hidden lake and sat upon a mossy rock, damp from the rain's gentle touch. She seemed peaceful sitting there yet her dark brown eyes were chaotic with emotion. Her face was pale yet every feature so fragile. A fresh dripping wound seemed out of place on her soft cheek as it allowed its tears to follow the bloody stream down her cheek that it had created. Long brown hair scattered round her, soaked and clenching onto whatever it touched, just like how her dress clung tight to her.

The scythe that lay across her lap, bleeding at the blade, showed not only was she a warrior, but a foe as well. With slow movements and gentle hands she touched her glassy reflection. Just as soon as she touched it, her hand was gone again leaving no trace but the running ripples of the water fleeing her relaxed body. Silence now toned and a sigh broke out. She fell back and lay to the sky closing her eyes and hoping to die. "If only the wind would blow me away like it does to the leaves on crisp fall's day. What is there other than life itself but death and silence and peace unbeknownst? If only the rains would just wash away the impurities of my soul like it does to the earth and cleanse me so. If only, if only..." she said her voice now declining into a soft warm murmur that revealed the air.

Sitting up for just a moment, she let her wings fold so she may lay back down with ease. Just as she planned, she laid herself down once more. The sweet silence allowed her to listen to the gentle melody of the rain hitting the leaves, soft earth, rocks, and water of the serene dream of the forest. Once more she began to sing her haunting lullaby, with the rains soft pitter patter as its base, and lull the forest sounds asleep. As the rain continued to fall the blood from the wound across her stomach began to spread slowly turning her once white flowing, graceful dress, pink and soon a bloody red.

This is what I see as I dip into the memories of my past. The memories before the vast bottomless sea of pain and death surrounded me, before I became engulfed by shadows an forgotten by all. This was the begining of my life of sin and killing. I am one of the fallen, long forgotten. I murder endlessly those who have caused my sorrow and pain. No longer do I let emotions flow free, hidden within I am now void of such things....
