Tsumetai was expecting a counter, so he grabbed Lurebreaker before he was thrown to the ground. Just before his legs were burnt, he threw both Rapture and Lurebreaker at Zane's legs, tripping him over. before Zane could fall to the ground, Tsumetai summoned Lurebreaker to his hand and whacked Zane's back with the meat of the key (heavy, not sharp), sending Zane flying. while Zane was still in midair, Tsumetai lept above him and kicked him in the stomach, causing Zane to smash into the ground. Tsumetai landed with a heavy thud next to him, summoned Rapture to his hand and pointed the tip of the blade up against his neck. There was a long silence until Tsumetai finally spoke.

"You were a formidable opponent"

Then Tsumetai disappeared into a portal of darkness.

Tsumetai appeared in a white room in the realm of darkness. There were 2 white chairs. One was occupied by a hooded man dressed in black. Tsumetai sat down facing the man. "Why didnt you kill him?" Said the man. "He was clearly not skilled enough..." Tsumetai shot him an annoyed glance "My training does not consist of killing. I defeated him, and that's all that matters." He retorted. The man seemed more agitated "If you only defeat someone, they will come back stronger and defeat you, or most likely kill you. Dont you see? The only way to become stronger is to eliminate the competition!!!" The man emphasised his last words by banging his fist on the armrest. "NO!" Tsumetai shouted as Rapture appeared in his hand and he pointed it at the man "I wont be your puppet! You have misled me for too long!!!" The man chuckled as he stood and raised an exact replica of Rapture "Are you sure you want to try this again? You know what happened last time..." he said with menace. The words 'last time' echoed in Tsumetai's thoughts. "Y-Yes..." he stammered, dropping Rapture to his side "See? you are STILL not strong enough to face me!!! You must become stronger!!!" Shouted the man. "Yes... Master..." Replied Tsumetai, who then opened a portal and left.
Tsumetai walked out of a portal onto the rocky terrain of outer Hollow Bastion. He stumbled over to the nearest rock wall and fell onto it. The words 'Last time' were still echoing through his concious. he closed his eyes and started to have memories...

-flashback-

Tsumetai was walking briskly down a hallway in the old Hollow Bastion. There was a girl next to him trying to keep up with his long strides. "Please Tsumetai!!!! You dont have to do this!!! There must be another way!!!" Tsumetai turned to face the girl "There isnt. Now go, i dont want you to get caught up in this." He started walking again. The girl hesitated, but ran to catch up and pulled at his sleeve "Please Tsumetai!!!" Tsumetai turned to face her again, but this time he had a softer look on his face "I love you Kyuui, and as long as that love burns strong in me, i wont give up." Kyuui looked with a sad expression "I love you too Tsumetai..." They embraced for a short time, until Tsumetai broke away "I need to do this..." he said and walked off. "Tsumetai..." Whispered Kyuui. Tsumetai reach the platform where a man in black wat waiting for him. "So... You think your ready?" said the man, "Yeah..." said Tsumetai as Rapture appeared in his hand "I'm ready!" The man chuckled as he raised his own Rapture Keyblade "Very well then..."

Both men lunged at each other and clashed their Keyblades in the middle of the platform hoping to overpower their opponent with strength. After a while, they both jumped back and lunged themselves at each other again, this time exchanging fast blows, all of which were blocked or parried, then they jumped back again. "Good... very good..." Mused the man. Tsumetai didnt take his eye off him. Suddenly, the man launched himself into the air and rained dark energy ball down on the platform. Tsumetai dodged these by rolling, twisting and jumping. When Tsumetai got within striking range of the man, he went for an uppercut, which the man dadged easily and countered with a quick slash across Tsumetai's back, causing him to go crashing to the floor. "See? You cannot even evade the most simple attacks..." Mocked the man "Shut up!" Shouted Tsumetai as he started to sprint towards the man. He thought he would try something new, something the man wouldnt expect. So he sprinted right past the man, slid around and ended up behind him. "What???"" Roared the man when he figured out he'd been flanked. This was followed by a slashing sound and a groan. The man fell to his knees, but Tsumetai wasnt done yet. He kicked the man in the stomach and then whacked his back with the hilt of his Rapture, which sent the man to the ground. He Lifted his Rapture for the final blow, but when it came down, there was nothing there. Tsumetai Heard laughter from behind him "Hahaha, you didnt think i would give up that easily, did you?" Tsumetai then hear the voice he would least like to hear at that moment "Tsumetai, help!!!" Tsumetai spun around "Kyuui!!!" He shouted. He saw the man on a higher platform, holding Kyuui by the throat. "Let her go. She has nothing to do with this." Said Tsumetai. "Oh, i think she does..." Said the man. He then spoke in a louder voice "You will call me your Master or she dies." He said. Tsumetai glared at the man with intensity "What's it gonna be? I can wait all day..." Said the man. He then looked at Kyuui "but by the looks of things she doesnt!" Tsumetai was still glaring at the man. "Let her GO!!!" He shouted. The man let go of Kyuui's neck and instead pointed his Rapture at it "Last chance... call me Master or she dies..." Tsumetai took one step forward "LET HER GO!!!!!" He roared. The man shrugged "I'll take that as a no..." He then spun Kyuui around to face him and, with one swift motion, stabbed her through the heart. "KYUUI!!!! NOOOOOO!!!!" Screamed Tsumetai as he watched the blade go through. He dropped his Rapture and sank to his knees where he buried his head in his hands. As Kyuui's body faded, her heart emerged and floated slowly up, until it was caught by the man. "Call me Master... and you can have her heart..." He said, a bit quieter "Can you do that for me?" Tsumetai slowly rose to his feet with a blank expression "Yes... Master..." He said slowly. "Good... good..." said the man. "Here's your reward." The man let go of the heart, which slowly floated towards Tsumetai. As soon as he made contact with it, a bright light shone out from the heart and a keyblade materialised into Tsumetai's hand. It was maroon and white and the hilt was in the shape of a heart. Tsumetai then looked at the keychain... It was the pendant she always wore... The one that he gave to her to show her that he loved her... This weapon was Kyuui's heart...

-flashes back to present time-

Tsumetai opened his eyes to find they they were moist. he looked at the castle walls, then at the castle itself. His eyes watered even more as he played those scenes over and over again in his head...

What had happened in that dreaded castle... When he tried to defeat his Inner Darkness but instead lost his Biggest Light.

-Later-

Tsumetai appeared on top of the Gizmo shop and watched the battle rage. He gripped Lurebreaker tightly. He was still having bitter memories, but he forced them out of his mind and watched. "Maybe it's time to give up power for truth..." he wondered to himself as he watched Mirage and Riku. He saw a familiar figure standing not too far away from them, except it wasnt what he remembered. Zane stood tall, now with spikey hair and no colour in his eyes. Tsumetai didn't want to know what happened to Zane. Nor did he care. He just sat on the Gizmo shop, gripping Lurebreaker as if it were his last hope. He watched from the rooftops with growing envy for the Light in Zane and Riku, and growing hatred of the Darkness in Mirage. Watching Aezn get defeated made him feel inferior and led to more hostile feelings towards Mirage. He felt like jumping down and attacking him.

Tsumetai floated down in front of Darius, an ability not known to him before. he could feel the darkness inside him, making him stronger and granting him new powers. "I could become invincible... take on the Dark King myself..." He thought to himself, but quickly dismissed the idea. "That would mean giving in to the darkness... and it would take the whole dark army to defeat the Dark King..." He stopped thinking as he approached Darius "There's a spare one fighting Mirage in the Alley. If you can take him, he's yours." He said to him. Darius smiled "Tsumetai! I didn't think you'd be here to hold the fort. Do you think you could while I go fight, or do you want to?" He actually kind of enjoyed captain Kanashimi's company, otherwise he'd be right on fighting already. Tsumetai smiled at Darius's sudden enthusiasm "I'll oversee the battle as it progresses." he said. He started pacing slowly away from Darius and tried to put on his best General voice "Mirage seems to be paying most of his attention to Riku, so the man you will be facing is called Zane, or his darker and more powerful form, Aezn. Both wield 2 Fire-infused Chakrams, though Aezn can unleash devestating physical powers as well. If Mirage has already defeated Zane, you will aid him in the fight against Riku. Do you think you can handle that?" On his last words, he turned around and looked at Darius. Darius straightened up "Riku... He's interesting. I guess I'll try that one out, if Mirage doesn't try to kill me too," He smiled and was on his way, hoping that he could have an enemy to himself, but not too sure. Tsumetai didnt immediately follow Darius. he was fighting a silent battle with his darkness. when he finally found the strength to turn around and leave, his foot suddenly jerked sideways, causing him to stumble. he cursed and looked down at his foot. For a secind, it was enveloped in black wisps of smoke, but then it disappeared. Tsumetai hoped that wouldnt happen in battle.

Tsumetai watched Tamiya, Riku and Zane from the rooftops. Zane looked as he had looked when Tsumetai had defeated him. "Maybe he is still learning" Tsumetai thought to himself. He saw Riku slump "Mirage did well against him... i'd say he's very close to defeat..." he thought with a touch of concern.

Tsumetai felt himself smile as he watched Zane get revived. He felt strangely relieved that he hadn't been killed. A voice inside him said "Do not waste your time on him... focus on Addonexus and his plan!" Tsumetai hesitated, then turned and faced the impending battle between Darius and the other two warriors of light.

A sudden thought hit Tsumetai "What if Darius isn't ready for this scale of battle? I never knew there would be a third light warrior..." he thought. He looked more closely at the girl who had appeared to help Zane. There was something odd about her that Tsumetai could sense. "Oh dear," He said quietly to himself "It looks like it's about to get a bit interesting around here." He smiled and chuckled almost evilly as the battle commenced.

Darius sensed Tsumetai and sent a Shadow over to give him a message "Please, don't join in. I want to have some fun!" Tsumetai sent the shadow back into darkness before it could deliver it's message. He was getting sick of darkness. He already knew that Darius wanted to fight alone because of his confidence and battle stance. He then noticed that the third light warrior had disappeared. He searched the battlegrounds until he noticed a slight flicker of form, meaning that the girl was applying some sort of speed technique. "These ones are tricky..." he thought, slightly concerned for Darius "He may be a bit over-confident with himself...". He then noticed another newcoming Light warrior. "Four on two is a bit unfair if you ask me..." he thought to himeslf. He grinned slightly as he remembered the first time he had dealt with an unfair battle "De-ja-vu..." he muttered to himself as Rapture and Lurebreaker appeared in his hands.
