Pirates vs. Ninjas
I don't even know why this debate has been going on for so long. Isn't it obvious who the coolest one is?
I mean, duh, pirates!

Here are some of the many reasons that we all like pirates better than ninjas:

1. Pirates live on an awesome ship
2. Treasure!!!!
3. Aren't bad guys cool?
4. Fancy swords
5. Manners don't matter (trust me, I've met pirates)

Poem number two: The Red Wolf
If you liked the last poem that I posted, here is something kind of similar. I can't think of a good ending though maybe you can help me.

The red wolf, says he,

Lurks behind every tree,

Behind those dark, gloomy clouds,

Crouched under the grass in your garden

And in mine.

The red wolf, he claims,

Drifts over our roofs

On his raft made of moonlight

Peaks through our window and glares at us

Like a predator.

The red wolf, he whispers,

Is always watching

Yet never there

The shadows are tricks

And snares.

The red wolf, tells he

Cannot be caught

Many have tried

But the wolf is cunning

He has his own traps.

The red wolf, he reckons,

Is not a fool

His snout can smell

A hare from miles away

And he can smell you.

*To be continued*

(Yes, I know, people don't usually put 'To Be Continued's on poems, and if you help me think up an ending, I'll finish it.)

The creature

Please read my poem and tell me what you think of it. Later, when I post parts of my stories, you can try to figure out what kind of creature I'm writing about.

I look ahead, into the frightening, frantic forest

All I see is blackness

I glance behind, at the sunlit meadow

The light seduces me. Come back, Come back, it cries

But I know that I must go forward

Every step I take,

I step away from home

Each time I lift my legs,

I step into the dark.

But I know that I must go forward

The forest is silent

The plants are perfectly still

But little eyes are peeking at me,

And their souls want to kill

I grasp my sword tightly

And quicken my pace

My enemies are around me

Waiting, waiting...

But I know that I must go forward

Suddenly, the trees shake

I halt to listen

Rustle, rustle, shake

The sound comes from the shadows ahead

And I know that I must go forward

I am as scared as a mouse

My eyes scan the wild, wicked woods

Until they meet another pair,

Red as blood

Cautiously, I amble forward

The twigs crunch under my feet

Then, the creature leaps out of hiding

As I unsheathe my blade

Its body is perfect, like that of an elf

Yet its hair is black; nobody had ever seen a black-haired elf

Its eyes are crimson, reflecting evil

And its fangs are like that of a vampire

Yet I know that I must go forward

As it comes toward me

I dare to ask, ''What are you?''

The creature only smiles, than walks away,

into the deep, darkening woods

And I know that I must go forward
