All right. As many of you know, Twilight may be the girliest, stalker-est, saddest excuse for a vampire story EVER created. (Sorry, Steph.)So a big fat TEAR for all of you who read them and were severly disappointed. (and don't even get me STARTED on the movies. *shudders in horror*)
HOWEVER, I discovered the best dang book series in the whole world:
THE DEVOURING!
It's by Simon Holt, and no, it is not a vampire series.
Basically, it's about 15-year old Reggie Halloway. She's a horror-fanatic, and one day finds a journal about evil demons called "Vours": Evil, demonic beings who prey on the most afraid on Sorry Night (the winter solstice) and take over their minds and bodies and live out your life while you're trapped in a world built on your darkest fears (aka fearscape)
Now, poor Reggie thinks it's just a story. But then her brother, Henry, becomes possessed, and she discovers no one is who they seem anymore.
