I'm tired. Tired of drawing the same old thing, the same characters, just in different poses and physical details. All my art looks the same, and suddenly, I'm sick of it. For the last few weeks, I haven't been able to draw the simplest of designs in the simplest of perspectives. Why? It's becoming boring, boring as [********], so boring that I can't even bring myself to draw anything. Every little detail that I used to love drawing is now a heavy task, and repetition is starting to kill me. I don't want to draw "Anime" and "Manga" character anymore, but it's all I've known for a very, very long time. I look at modern artists like Jeffrey Brown and Vaughan Baker and I envy them, their art just amazes me, even though at their base, they're very simple (Except Baker actually, I take that back). My art has become so STATIC! I'm in a rut that I just CAN'T GET OUT OF! From this day forth, I proclaim that everything in this sketchbook shall be everything BUT what is normal for me. I don't want to be "that kid that can draw," I want to be an ARTIST.
