Familar Steps~ Chp. 2

"What the-? Hey! Let me go!" Yanma said struggling, the second boy staring up at the taller one who interfered. "If I were you, I'd let go scarecrow!" said Yanma's friend, about to punch the new comer. With a swift movement of his arm, he flipped Yanma over onto his accomplice in a single pull crashing them both onto the floor, seeming not even the slightest bit weak.

"It's not nice to abuse innocent people..." the over towering boy said as he looked down upon the two idiots. His glare sent them the message he meant business. Yanma and the other boy scrambled to their feet, amazed and both shocked at what just happened. "Sit down." The mono-toned, tall one said with that glaring at the two as they nodded and ran down the isle they were standing in to take their seats.

He looked at Jish, who was still laying on the desk with confusion in his eyes. Jish scanned the boy, up and down, right to left, studying his stitches and scars one of those stitches were on his mouth, forming a clown-like appearance. His tan skin matching his pitch black spiky shoulder-length hair, blue eyes contrasting with his two green streaks in his hair along with the black surrounding his iris.

He was wearing all black clothing, with bandages here and there on his arms to hide his previous wounds. His shirt had a front, but no back side or sleeves, wearing a white tank top underneath to hide his back, with long black pants, torn in some places and were covered up to his knee-cap by his white leggings that connected to his shoes.

"Are you alright?" He asked the pale, almost albino boy. Jish slid off the surface of the desk, standing up and rubbing his wrists. "Ya... Thanks for the rescue." The tanned boy nodded still looking at the pale one. "Did they hurt you...?" He asked, his voice sounding a bit more lively. "No, I'm fine." Jish looked up at him, into his eyes which he got lost in. Never before has he seen such eyes, unless... "Hey wait, you look familiar... Do I know you by any chance?" he asked raising a brow in curiosity. The other scanned Jish for a moment.

He seemed to have realized who he was in a minute. "Yes, you do. Don't you remember me? It's me, Allah." The albino-look a like blinked and then a smile grew on his fair face. "Allah?! It's been years!" he said ecstatically, he hugged him tightly and pulled him down onto the shared seat at the desk they were standing at. "You seem to remember quite well, Jish." he said with a soft smile looking at his friend, a hint of happiness in his voice. "Where were you all this time? I can't believe its been what, six-seven years since we last saw each other?"

"Seven, and I've been traveling with my dad and little sister." he said adjusting himself to the hardwood seat. "We just got back yesterday, and I got enrolled here." Jish's expression turned into pure glee that Allah finally came back. He felt a little bad for forgetting him. Allah leaned back against the booth, sighing with content. The ruby-eyed, younger boy just smiled at him, then turned his attention to the teacher as the rest of the class did. Both of them were just happy to be reunited again.

-----HOURS LATER-----

School was over for the day, Allah walked out of the school doors with his school bag over his right shoulder full of new books and scrolls. Jish followed him out soon after he closed his messenger bag. "Hey, Allah!" he said trotting up to him as he caught up with the older. "Yes?" he answered stopping to turn his direction to the smaller male. "You wanna come to my house? I mean, if your not busy unpacking your things with your dad that is." Jish was smiling, through the whole day in fact. For once in his life since his friend has been gone, he was smiling with absolutely no worries on his mind for a whole day at school.

"Hmm..." Allah started, the younger one looked up at him waiting for his answer. "Sure, Dad needs to do work anyways." Jish couldn't wait. "Let's go then!" saying with so much joy you'd think he was in a candy store. He trotted in front of the tanner teen, down the street that led to his family's home. Allah watched him silently as Jish led the way. He wondered what his dad would say, when he entered the house he forgotten he used to be babysat at and welcomed like family.

The doorknob turned successfully after a twist of the key to the lock. They stepped inside. No one was home. Jish walked into the hallway, knocking on his parent's door. "Mom, Dad, you home?" No one answered. It was strange, but Jish had the feeling his parents where either gone to get groceries, or out on a date.

Allah wandered in the living room as his friend went into his room to get something, remembering everything that took place in it. How he and Jish would sit on the floor when he came to spend the weekend, watching the TV with Jish's parents as Kakuzu went out on his bounty hunts. Chasing the old German Sheppard around the house, and playing with it before it died of old age. So many memories.

Jish walked out of his room and into the living room where Allah was sitting on the couch. "Brings back good ol' memories hm?" with a tone of concern. Sitting down beside Allah, he turned on the TV and drug out a PS3 putting it on the coffee table in front of them, connected to the TV. "Sure does... What are we playing?" the blue-eyed teen asked curiously. If they were going to play a game, it better had be one he was used to. "Actually, I'm not going to play. You are." Jish said smiling slightly as he put a disc into the consul, turning it on and giving the controller to him.

"It's a one player? Why do I have to play?" Jish just giggled, "Cuz it's a scary game." Allah blinked, a scary game? If Jish was trying to make him scared, it had to be one that would give him nightmares.

Night came, and the room was dark except for the television screen's provided illuminating light that flickered as the character moved camera directions. How ironic that the character was a girl running from stalkers and incredibly slow with reactions, which made the game suck. Especially when you had no idea where said stalker was, and you had very limited times to run from your hiding place to the destination you had to be at.

Allah already went through 2 levels, on the third he got caught by the current guy that was chasing his character, but thankfully got her up just in time for a quick escape into an old elevator shaft; only to be possessed by a rouge ghost and have the girl lifted up in the air getting her spine snapped in half.

"Whoa!" both of them along with a third voice said in unison. Jish was shocked at what just happened, not even noticing his dad was standing in the doorway of the front door staring at the screen with his mouth open. "What the ********?! Did she just get possessed and have her spine snapped in half?! Cool!" Hidan said walking in closing the door and plopping down on the couch next to Allah.

"Oh hi dad. Where's mom?" Jish said looking over Allah and at his father. Hidan looked at Allah, "She's visiting her mother in snow country, so she'll be gone for a couple of days. Is this Allah...?" the zealot asked looking at the boy's features. Allah turned to Hidan nodding slowly in respect. "Ya it's me." Hidan showed a wide smile, and grabbing the said teen, pulling him down to give him a noogie on the head.

"Ack! H-hey! Stop it!" Allah protested flailing his arms trying to pull his head out of Hidan's grip. "Sorry boy, but I've been needing to give this to you." Jish watched them silently, realizing the bond between his dad and his friend was still there. "I'm going to bed..." he said yawning and grabbing the plates Allah and he had food on. "Don't worry about the dishes, I can do it, you just go to bed." Hidan said letting go of Allah finally.

Jish nodded and handed the plates and cups to his father, yawning again. "Allah.. shouldn't you be going home soon? It's eight o' clock." the pale pre-teen asked with tired eyes. "Dad won't mind, I'm sure he'd know I'm here anyways." Allah said with a smile. Hidan walked into the kitchen turning the faucet on, "I'll call him to say you're spending the night, 'kay?" Allah nodded following Jish into his bedroom with his bag.

The door opened to a semi-clean room with few scattered clothes on the floor, but Allah was used to his messy style compared to his own room, his was s**c and span. Jish walked over to his twin bed, taking his shirt and pants off, revealing more bruises and cuts on his pale, slender body as he put on a pair of comfy night pants. Allah noted each of them. A fire lit up in his heart, how dare they touch his friend like that!

'If only I had stayed, then he wouldn't have those wounds embedded in his skin every day...' he thought taking his own shirt off, but leaving his tank top and pants on. He walked over to the bed sitting on the edge next to Jish; he was laying down under the warm black covers. "What's wrong...?" Jish asked looking up at him, wondering if he offended him. "Those bruises.. If I was still with you here, they wouldn't have even appeared..." Allah got under the covers with the smaller boy, laying on his back.

The bleach-blond bit his lip, then rolled over onto his side facing him. "It's not your fault, now lets just go to sleep, school tomorrow." Allah shifted his eyes to Jish's, meeting them with a 'I'm sorry' gaze. Jish smiled softly, he knew this was true. He needed him, but he was gone in that time. Now that he's back, he couldn't help but just- jump for joy. Jish scooted himself closer to him. Laying so close to him like this... made him feel safe again. "Alright.. Night Jish." he said closing his eyes tiredly, the pre-teen nodded closing his eyes after a few minutes of watching Allah's chest move up and down as he breathed in his sleep.

Things were looking up for the two.
