When mysterious and unexplained happenings begin to occur on the campus of the prestigous St. Takaheshi Unversity for the diverse cultures of the world, no one really said anything about them. Though no one had been willing to even acknowledge these happenings, there is still now doubt in everyone's minds that they are, indeed, happening.
At first it was thought of as nothing when the head janitor inexpliciably quit with the sole explaination of having been put under too much stress and that their was supposedly a spook in the basement of the campus. The professors merely chalked it up to the fact that the human was aging and was, therefore, loosing a few too many marbles in the process - encouraging the students to not pay any heed to the old man's "rambles" - as they where dubbed.
Though, a few years later, a highly respected and well liked professor of
Philosophy threw himself off of the campus library, dying upon impact with the waiting cement below. It was explained as an act of too much stress combined with a few personal issues - though, even the stupidest of the students, knew that the teacher (whose name had been erased from the record books so the school could act as if the incident had never happened and keep their perfect record) was not that type of person and was actually very comfirtable with both his home and school life.
It never was explained...
Until a year later after the "Physcy Suicide" - as it had been titled and come to be know as by the student body - there was another case of a jantior reporting a ghostly entity in the basement. This time around, however, it was not so easily dismissed as the janitor, in question was no younger then in his mid 30s - no where near as old as the former one who place he had taken - and this left the professors with the problem of passing off this new occurance.
Two nights later the dead body of the janitor with a the bruises of strangulation was found in the boy's locker room. For a long time, everyone thought that the coachs of the sport teams had committed the crime as they had been the most vocal in their choices of how to dismiss the new story of ghosts in the basement. There was another, however, that none took into consideration and he remained in the background until the investigation that had been set into motion was resolved as an "unsolvable crime".
Now there are rumors of a mysterious object sealed within the darkest depths of the labrynth of a basement that is said to be in the form of a tiny jewel tainted the most malicious of blacks... Said to grant the person who is able to break the seal and posses it one, unrestricted wish...
If one can find it, that is...
Of course, these are merely rumors and the professors as well as board members and most of the student body claim them as such - going about their daily lives as if nothing amiss ever happens at their University for... what could ever happen...
All thinking the same thing....
