I wake up every day,
I wake in the night,
The sun rises,
The sun sets,
Day after day.

I go to school,
Five days a week,
The bell rings,
I hop on the bus,
Home, I go.

But one day class starts,
Teachers are silent,
They turn to us to say it’s alright,
They turn the television on,
Screaming kids, silent kids, dazed kids.

The Twin Towers collapsed,
The Pentagon is gone,
As well as family and friends.
I feel horror, hatred, loneliness and sadness,
For it’s the night of September eleventh.
