Everyone on the ship was deafened by the roar of the thunder like blast of heat that surrounded the enemy ship. I looked up to see what had just happened, so did everyone else. The ship floated there in a brilliant awe of growing flames. It was a trick those men who risked there lives to save ours I believed they died as soon as the charges were rigged, It was strange to think about and heartbreaking...
"SIAMO VITTORIOSI!!!" said one man and suddenly that rose into the roar of every crew member on the ship cheering and screaming with joy then the captain came on deck and stood in the center.
"Silenzio my friends, Silenzio" After he said that the whole ship came to a contained silence.
"Well done my brothers, If had not you had fought so hard and brave Il falco would certainly not be above sea. However I would like to take this moment of silence to those who bravely risked there lives to make this victory possible as well". Everyone bowed there heads and the whole ship was dead quiet only the clash of the waves against the ships sides could be heard and the monotonous creak of the ship itself. After a while we all looked up and he continued to talk to the crew who now formed a large circle around him.
"For those of you who do not know we are sailing for San Giminiano in the Tuscan region, there beyond the city perimeter lies several buildings, I have been informed that when we arrive the city will be looking for us after this incident on sea I would hope it takes longer to reach land, that would save us some trouble.However we will go around the city acres until we arrived at the site there we will receive further instructions, bene?"
"VA BENE!!" Shouted the crew in unison.
"Good, Now lets ensure a quick trip get to work men" he ordered and suddenly every crew men scattered around the decks at work. I went back to my quarters ans slept the rest of the night.
The next morning I walked up to the deck and saw men working as hard as ever.
I could see in the distance however the sun light land of Tuscany we were close but I feared we were not in the clear just yet...
