"Longing for Seasons"
I dream of brown and red leaves
I can hear them crunch beneath my feet
I wish for the cool breeze to rustle my hair
And the smell of burning leaves so sweet
I long for the soft rain to bring the world back to life
For the smell of blooming flowers to fill my nose
I find myself impatient for the simple cycle
Of the blooming and dying of the rose
Gone is the blistering heat of summer
And the ice and cold of winter is melted away
I wish for the freshness of spring to life
And for the crispness of autumns sway
