What I write here is the truth concerning a girl I've encountered,
Her name is Alice.
She was confined by the Baskerville family, however, Glen never told me the reason.
"I never knew there was a tower like this on Baskerville grounds. Is Glen the one who shut you up in here?"
"I don't know, but I'm sure everyone hates me. But I'm glad you came Jack!"
"Alright Alice! Next time you come an play at my house."
"I can't! Glen would never allow such a thing!"
"It'll be fine, we just won't get caught!"
"Jack..."
"The Vessalius Rose Garden is very beautiful."
"Jack..."
"It might be fun to pick flowers in the forest nearby too.
Alice, I want to show you all kinds of places......."
To my eyes,
She was nothing but a small, powerless child.
But...
During the many visits I made,
I started to notice things that were out of place.
The first thing I noticed was the attitude of her cat.
The cat was very close to Alice, but sometimes it would reject her.
The colors she liked, the books she liked.
Sometimes her tastes would change as though she were a completely different person.
Frequently she would lose the thread of our conversation.
And...
The thing that bothered me the most was the atmosphere around her.
The gentle atmosphere of an innocent child would sometimes...
"Jack!"
"Who are you..?
You're not the Alice I know.
The Alice I know is..."
"That's right, I'm not the Alice you know so well.
But I am also Alice. Her soul and mine are connected.
She uses the bond to come here from the depths for half of each day."
"The depths...
The Abyss!?"
"She is I, and I am she.
We might as well be the same person.
Alice, that is the name we were given."
This one truth. Those two were raised in the womb, but born in the abyss.
Even now they continue to be connected by the chains of the abyss.
They are twins.
