Pondering.
Can you honestly say you love a child, a family member, a mate, a friend, if you refuse to accept their flaws as well? I'm not saying ignore or approve of, but accept. Because if so, why shouldn't that loved person refuse to accept yours? Isn't that exactly how "love" turns into something ugly?

There seems to be something inherently hypocritical about mercilessly holding others to a standard one cannot possibly live up to, particularly within what should be close relationships. We're all human. We all have our weaknesses. We all mess up.

So what bit of good has condemning everyone done? None. Has it made you a better person? No. Does it make you kinder, more loving, less selfish, less flawed yourself? No.

So why do we do that? Especially those Christians of you who preach grace.

Doesn't grace accept all, flaws and all, and love despite it? So what are you doing? If you really trusted your own damn God, why are you making yourself responsible for that which is His job to deal with?

Just some thoughts. And yes, I cursed. It's an appropriate usage; I'm not ashamed of it.
