Now, as you might have realized, looking at the previous drummer design, you can put the bats in the hands of just about anyone, and they will clearly be drumming.
That said, here are a couple of other themes for drummers.
1: Formal. For a male character, this is pretty simple. Black Zoot Suit Carlangos and Tramas, White Zoot Suit Shirt. Some sort of Tie; Bowties work best, in Red Blue and Black, or the silk bowtie, in the color of your choice. However, if possible, match it with a Dashing Gentleman Sash of a similar color. I go with Blue Bowtie and Dashing Gentleman Sapphire Sash, personally. If your hairstyle is not fairly smooth, your best bet may be the Egyptian Short Wig, or simply remaking your character anew. I commonly use the Male French Braid or the Foxy Hair. Try, perhaps, to make yourself look older, with the reading glasses.(any glasses will probably work). Don't neglect your feet, either: Neutral Starter Glam Guy Dress Shoes are among the most formal shoes you can find, but they need Black Socks to go with them.
For ladies, as usual, I have less advice. While you can wear the same outfit as above (maybe with the Tumbleweed hair style) you probably know better than I do how to make your avatar look cute and formal. Remember, the level of formality is approximately equal to that of a tuxedo. The wedding dress, however, may be going too far.
Type 2: The Serious Drummer This is very simple. Sand Summer Top, Brown Work Gloves, any type of Jeans and Sneaker. (Warm Male Goth Starter Shoes work fine). Mouth should be at Medium, no expression. If you want to change it to be silly, just add the Monobrow. This works for either male or female, so go with the flow.
...probably more to come!
