This. Is. Not. Based. On. A. True. Story.

I stood there, scanning the skies and ground to make sure no one could see. Tears flowed gently from my eyes as I took the knife from my back pocket and held it against my chest. The coolness from the knife passed through my shirt and onto my skin, making me shiver slightly. I sighed and wiped away my tears. This would be the only way to make everyone happy, so I must do it. I turned and walked back down the path from which I had come. The path led back to my car. I just got my license not to long ago, and I enjoyed having the freedom to drive anywhere and everywhere I wanted to. I smiled as the car roared to life with the turn of the keys. The knife was heavy in my hand as I drove all the way home. My breathing hitched and my heart beat fast. I clutched the steering wheel tightly as I made the last turn into the driveway of my mothers’ house. I turned the car off quickly, not wanting my mother to wake up before I even got into the house. I sat there a moment, willing my tears to go away. I got out of the car and shuffled towards the front door of my mothers’ house. With the knife gripped firmly in my hand, I made my way through the house and back to my mothers’ bedroom. The door opened with a squeak. I pulled the knife out and held it above my mothers’ throat. I- I was smiling. I held the knifes’ tip at her throat and put gentle pressure on it.
I can’t remember much after that… They took me away and did tests. In fact, as I’m writing this they have me hooked up to some crazy machine for crazy people. Ha! I don’t know why they did this to me… it’s not like I did anything wrong. I did it to help people. To help everyone I car about; I did it for the good of mankind.
