In the Kingdom of Light resided the angel Anastasia. Anastasia, a beautiful, luminous being, thrived in the rays of God's light, living out each glorious day without care, as if all was right in the world.
Soon, her ways begin to change, as did everything about her. The Light shined upon her heart no longer, darkness seeping in and taking its place. Nothing was able to save her. The cherubic girl fell from the clouds, and the Light of the Lord disappeared from her being entirely. Shadow possessed the fallen angel, hiding her away from the Light as it battled to break through the bleak, cabalistic clouds which shrouded her from God's grace.
Days and days went past, months elapsing, and not a single sliver of Light made it past the barrier of hopelessness.
Another angel watched from the clouds above, as Anastasia lived her life in ignorance of the secrets held back by the darkness. The angel grew depressed at the sights before them, as the once-radiant Anastasia's heart grew heavier and heavier with the dull clouds' influence, her life plagued by troubles brought on by the darkness. They bestowed unto her life not the grace of God directly, but the happiness which grace granted to His disciples. The happiness latched onto Anastasia, casting out the darkness, leaving a pathway through the vile smoke. The Light took hold.
But the Light's presence alone did not save the fallen angel. A war raged inside of her, no longer between the Light and the darkness, but between salvation and herself, as the darkness had molded her in its time within her, turning her against the Light. It was left to her, whether she would remain in the realm of suffering or begin her journey to redemption.
As she fought with herself, Anastasia's willpower grew by the influence of the Light in her soul. She slowly turned back towards the Kingdom of Light, staring at those fair clouds no longer with a look of disdain caused by the darkness which dominated her, but with fondness and yearning in her eyes. The fallen angel made a decision, her heart returning to its former state of purity. With tears streaming over the way her life had been lived since her fall from grace, she said to her Savior, her head bowed, "I wish to come home." With those murmured words, and their unquestionable sincerity, her radiance returned, and Anastasia found herself standing once more in Heaven.
Christ smiled to her, knowing He was in the angel's heart again, in her soul and always at the forefront of her mind.
Anastasia has returned to the Kingdom, to those holy clouds from which she, like so many others before her, fell. The darkness has not approached her; the darkness cannot approach a being so bright and pure. Her journey of reascension was successful.
The angel Anastasia was saved.
